Wholeheartedly agree. I strongly believe we will perform considerably better in the latter half of the season than the ealry rounds.
Rounds 9 -11 will tell us a lot about how where travelling. Manly at Brooky, Cows in Townsville, then the Storm at home. Tough run coming up to ourt first bye. Could be very telling.
Bondi, you are deadset the saddest case going around
last week we get beaten and totally outplayed by the 2nd favourites for the comp, and you ridiculously blame the refs
this week we haven't even played yet, and you're suggesting biased refs will cost us the game
mate, if you actual believe the refs have it in for us, even before we've played, why do you watch the games? Why put yourself through this pre-determined hell?
Go and find another sport mate. It'll be good for your sanity
lol.
Why do you put yourself through the hell of posting here when you whinge about every 2nd post?

I wholeheartedly agree with you stsae. It would not matter whether either team won last weekend as an away trip to New Zealand is arguably the toughest in the competition. A loss on saturday night is not the end of the season and we need only look to both our bitter enemy South Sydney and the Brisbane Broncos last season to know that it is not about coming out of the blocks like a bat out of hell but finishing with a strong sail.
The expectation of a strong season has not been correctly thought out by many people, I feel. Until our first bye in round 12 we face all of last seasons top 8 teams bar the Cronulla Sharks. To expect immediate success is a tough enough ask as it is and we are going to learn some very harsh lessons and endure some very difficult times in the opening few months of this season.
I have faith that our team will find itself at some point but the reality is that we are in for a tough task to start the season and expectations must be brought back. It may not even happen at all this season.
the roosters nyc team won against a very strong rabble team and came home with a 2 point win after the final siren. awsome. we eliminated the rabble in the finals last year in that grade and they were smoking. the winning try was scored thru one of the burgessss under the sticks.
they are now playing the worriers who gave up lost by 38 points to eels. mandy, parra and titts were in a heated battle for the spoon last year. so the eels 46 to 8 won......
i think the youngsters will win this one.
while the jets treck of to awklin to play the vulcans. mandy beat the vulcans but cant find out much about the game info.the vulcans were a threat but i dont think they have it this year as they lost it in a bad way last year.
so im thinking all 3 grades should win. be a few beers on the plane home i rekkon
Some people are saying that they won't be concerned if we lose this weekend to the warriors. I know I for one will be quite concerned as the warriors are crap, with probably the worst coach in the NRL. They were flogged last weekend by last years wooden spoon side. Surely we will beat them, I would be very very surprised if we don't! If we were to lose serious questions will need to be asked, I don't give a shit if it is only round two, as we would be talking about losing to the warriors. If we were playing the storm, manly or cowboys this weekend and were to lose then no I would not be overly concerned as they are bloody good sides coming off a very good year. The warriors are a different kettle of fish, they were shit last year and are shit again this year by the looks of it.
It doesn't matter if it's round 2 or round 22, a win is worth two points no matter what round it is. We have to start accumulating points as soon as we can if we want to finish top 4. I don't care if we win ugly this weekend against the warriors as it is early in the season, but we really do need to be racking up the two points against the ordinary teams. If we are really switched on, we could very well win 7 in a row between rounds 2 through to 8, if we put our minds to it. That certainly would make our chances of a top 4 finish look all the more better!
The year 2013 marks the beginning of the Roosters next 'decade of excellence', and it will prove to be more successful than the last!
i'm of the opinion that every point we can get is very valuable and gets us one step closer to the finals. It has been a while since we enjoyed a good victory. It would be great to get one this weekend.
My tip - Roosters by plenty with Sonny-Bill taking man of the match closely followed by JWH.
