Good team, interesting to have Maubs on the bench instead of Guerra or FPN though.. Thought he might be used as an 80 minute man. Will he be used as a wide running, hole hitting, impact player?

Been wondering when TR will click on the combo that works for his overall plan.
is this getting close? Further away?

Don't think it will be as easy as that. What about if Mitchell Pearce gets us a repeat set we win?

Napas selection is interesting robbo must have doubts about Kennedys impact when he gives moa or jwh a spell. He must have been reading the chookpens thoughts on him lol.

Would start Cordner at lock. Nuuausala to bench. O'Donnell drops off. Then Napa, O'Donnell and MK can fight it out for the final bench spot.

                The way I see it...

Who are our four best backrowers? I would say, SBW, Cordner, Aubusson, Guerra. As Aubusson and SBW both play right edge, Guerra is a left edge specialist and Cordner is either tight at lock or left edge...

                11. Guerra (left)
                12. SBW (right)
                13. Cordner (lock)

                14. Aubusson

O'Donnell and Nuuausala are the notable ones to miss out here. Then, from there, you determine who our four best props are. I would say, Hargreaves, Tasi, Moa, Kennedy. Since Moa has forged a strong starting partnership with Hargreaves...

                8. Hargreaves
                10. Moa
                11. Guerra (left)
                12. SBW (right)
                13. Cordner (lock)

                14. Aubusson
                15. Tasi
                16. Kennedy

From here, the final bench spot is up for grabs. If you want a utility, Mortimer or Nafe are ideal, but if you want to throw in an extra forward we have Nuuausala and O'Donnell ready to jump in. As for the questionable form of Kennedy, if he continues to struggle we not only have Nuuausala and O'Donnell at our disposal who are more than capable of playing prop, but two massive young boppers in Evans and Napa biting at his heals.

I'd have thought Maubs is more your 80 min man and $BW or Guerra play more the impact role mate.

But the coach has his ideas I guess, I'm willing to let him do his thing and find his combos and roles for blokes before criticizing him. It's a long year and with injuries and suspensions and rep footy everyone will get a run at some point I'm sure.

I would really like to see pLOD get some game time. Such a hard carnt. I reckon he'd have relished going toe to toe with Burgess last week.

                  The FlogPen .

                  You know it makes sense.

I think people forget just how much work SBW used to get through, he was averaging 17 runs, 140m plus numerous offloads a game when he was playing 80 minutes for the Bulldogs before he left the game.

I'm surprised he came in for Maubs & not Guerra but I definitely think he's an 80 minute player. For all his quality he's also not afraid to shirk the work.

Not happy about RTS being retained on the wing, if one try is scored down his wing, because he has left his opponent unmarked, I'll be calling Robinson a Smith clone.

If what's happened to us over there in recent years continues it won't matter what we do, we'll lose.

Incompetent or seeming biased refereeing that has seen legal cut-out passes from Anasta [that have put our players in the clear and off to score tries] pulled back and judged forward.
Also other passes called forward that weren't...penalties for offside where we sure didn't look to be, penalties for holding down in tackles when we weren't...and if we were the Warriors were doing the same thing and weren't penalised.

Also, our supporters including women, were abused and intimidated on public transport and at the games.

Might as well just forfeit matches over there, and stay here and hold a 'Roosters Picnic Day' instead.

The NRL does not deserve us.

I agree mate, but I just thought it may have been too early for $BW as yet to play a full 80. He did look fine fitness wise last week so I guess he's ready.

I don't see Guerra going 80. And I see him more an impact player than Maubs. IMO Maubs is more a toiler.

And I agree I'd have thought $BW on the left and Maubs on the right to start. I definitely thought FPN and Guerra were the lesser of all the 4 back rowers last week.

But the coach knows better than us that's for sure. Im not at all unhappy about the side, it looks very strong IMO. We sure have some depth considering Tasi, Cordner and pLOD haven't had a run as yet and I expect them to be regulars when and if they are fit. Even Bosden and those two big kids will be considered at some point. And we haven't seen if we unearth a bolter as yet from the lower grades, which is more than possible.

i can see houma from the jets getting a run mid season. if he backed up as good as he was in the finals, he has a shot. i see him and sam moa a simmilar wrecking ball style attacker.
i have also seen no bj listed anywhere. i wonder if there is a bit more about his dismisil than what we know. and no mose plaing at the riff, taka is a centre with the titts and tom is 18th for mandy
