Last year Rabbitohs lost their first 3 games of the season but went on to finish 3rd. I was looking on our FB page and it said that in 02 we lost the first 6 games but won the comp. SBW's Waikato Chiefs last year were at the bottom for 2 rounds but became premiers and minor premiers.

It is only round one and there was one obvious issue-Discipline

    The positives were:
    1. Scrambling defence
    2. Props made over 100m each
    3. Jennings looking dangerous
    4. Maloney not a dud buy
    5. Solid but not brilliant comeback by SBW

    The negatives were:
    1. Ill-Discipline
    2. Same old SKD
    3. Same old FPN
    4. Dissapointing performance from RTS
    5. Nearly every opportunity butchered
    6. Hardly any ball going towards the right edge where Toops and Jennings were

Its not a complete disaster but still dissapointing, same problem 5th year running. Hopefully FPN dropped for Cordner, Kennedy dropped for Evans/Tasi, Arona for O'Donnell.

Im willing to give SKD one more chance.

We technically gifted Souffs the game. The main statistic was the lack of completions and penalties/errors or it would've been a much closer game. ANother problem was ruck recognition. We could hardly slow it down and shut down Luke, Soutton, GI etc.
Reynolds was solid but his job was made easy as their forwards got him to the goaline.

SKD improved his tackling techniques and RTS should be at fullback.

u overlooked we have no speed in the forwards as evident last nite.kennedy needs to learn how to run let alone run straight.he is a different player after his horrendous foot injury and favours his foot when he walks.explains al lot about his running

I agree, thought that maubs had a pretty good game, Mini did well too was glad to see Maloney utilize his speed to chop down some defenders in our 20m - anasta could never move that fast.

JWH - so glad he is RWB. Any team should kill to have this guy. Not knee jerking after 1 game, but Marty to me is the biggest myth ive been saying it for a couple of seasons now he's just not cutting it.

as for SKD (and im a fan) he better mature quickly in his footy or he should not be resigned after 2020 or whenever his bloody contract expires

Mate if it is that bad why the fark is he in FG for. The guy has been soft for the last 2 yrs. he just doesn't look like he can handle the intensity or the contact.
I'm not having a crack at you but if that's his problem then fark him off and get Nappa or Ailiomi in. I bet they would do a better job then him. If your coming off the bench as a front rower your job is to keep the roll on going and he just can't do it and proved it again last night.
I'd give him 1 or 2 more chances but I can see him spending a lot of time at the jets

i saw a few 20's games last yr and Napa showed his hardness in those games. I think he needs 6 to 8 weeks at Newtown then he'll be ready to help us out

Could be a problem, big MK doesn't have 6-8 weeks of FG in him

                        Loyalty ?

                        Where is YOUR Loyalty?

For all those Roosters supporters who have already written off our chances this year after our poor performance against Souths....grow some balls Year after year... we get the so called experts and idiots writting-off a team early in the comp which then go on to play in the Grand Final.

We won our opening game in 2002. You might recall it.... 42-0 (or so) against Souths, their first game back in the comp.

We then lost 4 in a row (not 6), and then won our next 5
