  • My Concern

I actually think there were some really good signs last night. We are a new team, who have had a pretty un settled off season in regard to new players coming late and so on.

Souths are a good, well established side. With Luke at hooker and Inglis at the back (the carnts) they constantly push up around the middle and threaten out wide. To beat Souths you have to force them to start their sets in their own half. You just can't beat them by giving away piggy back penalties and making silly errors like we did.

I wouldn't say we were robbed by the refs but we definitely didn't get the rub of the green, especially in the ruck area, where it seems Souths can do what they want.

It's not doom and gloom and we definitely shouldn't, and I'm sure Robbo wont, make significant changes to the team. My one concern though is Jake Friend. I just don't see it. In my eyes he's slow and indecisive and just doesn't offer anything in attack or threaten at all around the ruck. I'm not calling for his head and I wont crucify him after one game against a good team. I'm always optimistic and generally have faith in the coaches and their decisions. I would love nothing more to be proved wrong regarding Friendy. I'm just struggling to see it that's all.

cause jake has to do do 333333 tackles per game takes away from his attack
we needed to get a degois or someone line that who adds spark from dummy half and play friend at lock

Not a bad option. Last year when jake played in the back row for a short period during the game he was extremely effective with his running game. He is too slow to play dummy half. Provides no spark at all.

I was wondering who'd be the first deluded nutcase to blame the referees for the loss. No surprise it was you Andy

Not deluded at all, you need to watch a replay with your fair eyes wide open.

With Pearce as half for the next 5 years, we need a better quality hooker who can steer the team around.

                  Jake's not that man.
