I can't believe some supporters expected brilliance from game 1. We have many new players in key positions, with a new coach and a superstar who hasn't played a second of league in 5 years after joining the club 3 weeks ago. It was never going to come together in round 1. May not come together for another month. Important point (and this reflects many comments in this thread) this is a team which will build and become stronger throughout the season! Take the penalties and ill discipline out last night, and it would have been a very close match

I was so confident our team needed time to gel, I even picked Souffs last night!
