Where are you sitting Andy? I'm in Bay 14 but friends would like me to move and sit with them, which I think I will do. I can always sit somewhere different every week and make special guest appearances in different bays..I can be a utility fan...Originally posted by Andrew Walker View PostI will be there I also am on leave the next day But wont be making to big a night Hopefully after the match to one fo the locals to rub it it to thee Souths fans if we win
I really hope the whole days is nowhere near as evntful as the last time we played them The ensd of that match really capped of a crazy emotional rollercoaster of a day for me

Not a problem Big Arty.Originally posted by Big Arty View PostIt did come out a bit OTT didn't it, my apologies it wasn't my intention, just a bit rushed.
My comment was more observation than complaint as I'm well aware that ...Originally posted by Big Arty View PostBut it does appear at times to me that there's alot of people complaining about CH9 or FOX, ...
... they've made quite an investment in the game. However, surely there are other ways to recoup their investment in the game other than scheduling matches on Thursday and Monday nights? Two on a Friday, three on a Saturday and three on a Sunday?Originally posted by Big Arty View Post... but the fact is that they've just pumped $1b into the game & my point was that it doesn't come without a cost.
On this I suggest we agree to disagree.Originally posted by Big Arty View PostPersonally I love the fact that I'll have footy on my telly from Thursday to Monday (mind you my wife is not so keen on this), the only thing that would make me happier is if they had a mid-week comp to be played on Tues & Weds nights too!!

Oh and GO EASTS.

Hahahahaha, I'm simply not interested in carrying on in here because after all, we are all Roosters supporters maaaaaaaate.Originally posted by stsae View PostROFLMFAO that's the most polite rebuttal I believe I've ever seen maaaaaaaaaaaaate.
Brilliant.

Should I throw in the seemingly obligatory "fark souffs" here Captain Backwards, you know, just to confirm my Rooster supporter credentials?

Oh yes they are!Originally posted by Alex View PostGood luck driving out of the city, then driving back to the city, then leaving again. Most people wake up around 6am to go to work the next day, people are not going to sacrifice work for a footy game.
Well not sacrifice as such, but;
People have made arrangements for this game
..annual leave day, rostered day off, called in a day owed to them by other staff for whom they did favours..etc
For one night, most people can exist on 4-5 hours sleep.

Testament to the drawing power of SBW, I'll be going with the following five people:
• An Eels supporter
• A Sea Eagles supporter
• A Warriors supporter
• An Essendon supporter
and last and certainly least ...
• a vermin supporter
The only reason the other four are going is because it is SBW's debut (they hope).
I'm freakin' pump(ed).

I can understand the NRL having Thursday nights for the first month or so. I was originally planning to have Thurs and Fri off when the draw came out but a change of jobs has meant I'll just have to suck it up, survive on limited sleep and go to work the next day. I couldn't really expect a day off second week into the position.
At least I work in the city, but the later 8.05pm start and train trip home out west after the game will make it a late night. So I will either be tired and happy or tired and bloody cranky at work on Friday. The bosses should be hoping for a Chooks win!
I remember last year the DragQueens played the Ferral Druggos at Ferralville Stadium. Now that must have been a real pain the backside for the DragQueen fans - from down south to Newcastle is a couple of hours at least. each way.

Good luck with your new job NC and I hope you enjoy it. We do have some odd scheduling this year. I work with a Warriors fan who is looking forward to coming to our June game but it's 6.30pm start on a Sunday.Originally posted by novice chook View PostI can understand the NRL having Thursday nights for the first month or so. If it were that time the previous weekend being the Queen's Birthday, I could understand. And we drew the short straw on Easter Monday getting the night game right before going back to work after 4 days off but I guess someone has to play then. We'll have excellent chances of winning those games so I will not complain..
