A week that should be spent on sending one of your favourite sons off in style in his last match in Oz.

No the club was fined 50k and just for good measure lost its major sponsor from the fall out of the incident .

I don't think that has ever been announced by the Roosters or Samsung.

                      And to make matters worse...

Who have we signed? Basically nobodies, except for Carney (another trouble-maker) and possibly Tuqiri (another troublemaker apparently).

Friend, Myles and Cherrington all behave poorly this year, yet they get re-signed to long-term deals. We are in talks with retaining Sandor Earl too, and Pearce is also signed long-term.

Why can't all the players be like Perrett and Fitzgibbon - role models off the field, give 100% on the field.

Why would the Roosters make an announcement? There's no contract, they just wont be re-signing.

What's wrong with Pearce? Friend seems like a decent kid too... I know plenty of people who have drunk then drive... doesn't make them trouble makers just stupid.

Cherrington well the jury is out, everyone deserves a second chance and he seems remorseful... it's the first case I can think of where a player has come out and put his hand up, copped the punishment on the chin and faced up to the media. What he did can't be forgiven but the way he has acted since the incident for me at least gives him another chance to prove himself.
