Have to admit before a ball was kicked this year I thought that Toupou would be behind Oldfield in the pecking order, but having seen how Oldfield went last night I think that has turned around.
SKD has to come good or he must be dropped, like I said to my wife last night he can do amazing things and score a try from nothing however he can also make the incredibly easy look so damned hard. I know it was wet last night but a guy who has played 122 FG games, played for his country simply should have caught that ball.
At present he is looking like a one season wonder, but I guess time will tell
He is lucky that Moga and Tom Symonds are out injured, otherwise I would give him the first 6 rounds to perform otherwise drop him and give his spot to one of the other guys.
I can't express how happy I was to see a Roosters team sheet without the names Perrett, Anasta, Masoe.
I was alos hugely impressed by Sam Moa, he isn't real big but he runs at the line like a runaway bus (and hits hard in defence), if bigger guys like FPN (who I thought went well last night) and Masoe showed the same commitmentthey could be among the best forwards in the NRL. I think Moa could prove to be the buy of the year.

He has the capability to be anything. I have seen him do some amazing things in his short career and I have also seen him do some stupid things. For mine, this is one of those kids who you have to pick every week and just keep persisting with for the next 2 years even if he has a fall of form. If he gets some games under his belt and improves he could be an origin regular.Comment of the year:

He certainly had some great moments like his try and his kick for Jennings but I think that early mistake deep in our territory really played with his confidence. He is certainly not suited to the wet weather either. His running onto the ball was not nearly as spirited as it was against Manly and that went he wasn't bending the line the same and landing in a good position on the ground. He got stopped in most of his runs and the third man would take his ankles and 2m is a long way to fall backwards, meaning he was both losing ground and getting a slow play the ball.
All that being said, I believe most weeks, in particular when its dry he will go back to being extremely dominant and if last night was one of his bad games then he's in for a very good season.
Will be very interesting if Moga comes back this season. Mini will have a spot at either FB or wing and if Tupou is in good form he won't be dropped. RTS has to be at fullback surely by then, and I don't think he'll be played off the bench. So it might come down to how SKD is playing. Could Moga slot straight into right centre running into the finals? Last nights conditions certainly did not suit SKD and tbf he defended in the line generally quite well other than one small mistake. Just like Oldfield last week if he catches that pass from RTS and scores the perception of how he played probably changes from terrible to reasonable.
Chook.

JWH talked about our defence which is a good thing, he also mentioned that anasta put a hit on him. Unfortunately he couldn't get one back on him because he never runs the ball.Comment of the year:
