  • can we risk taking both LOD and SBW into round 1

the question that is probably going to be keeping Robbo and the coaching staff awake at night heading into round 1 against the vermin, is whether they can take the risk bringing both LOD and SBW nto the match with little pre-season preparation under their belt.

LOD looked a bit off the pace tonight in the foundation cup, he really lacked mobility in defense and looked to be pulling up before contact with ball in hand, he looked a shadow of the player that left the NRL a couple of seasons ago.

everyone knows SBW will play if remotely fit, the main question will be can we afford to carry both SBW/LOD on the bench when they will be clearly underdone.

every indication is that the starting 13 tonight will more than likely be the starting 13 on the 7th of march and with Kennedy and SBW returning joining Guerra on the bench it leaves the likes of LOD/Seluini/Mortimer/Arona fighting it out for the last bench spot.

I though LOD carried the ball ok Fletch but as you said he was off the pace in defence.

I've said before I wouldn't rush Sonny back, they don't give out trophies in March. If he isn't fit give him more time anyway Guerra was farking great, really looked bigger and stronger.

LOD's workrate was great, most of his hit ups were in our own half.

His runs and tackles lacked sting though.

I dont see a problem with him putting out 35 min off the bench. We need some exp. in round 1, you could tell that once the momentum shifted a bit, our guys started to panic.

Short answer, no. I think the Roosters showed there is cover there for the moment.

The fact we have cover there is a nice problem to have.

LOD had his knee wrapped in ice as soon as he came off. I'd say he wasn't injured, he just has a set of old man knee's that swell up after a run. Not the greatest sign.

Guerra really is starting to look like Morley's twin on the field. With Guerra and Cordner in the team we will always have decent back rowers on the field.

Moa...lots to like there. He's the player we were all hoping Mose would play like.
