Since leaving the nrl, I can't ever remember him getting any serious injuries. He is very fit and his body is maintained very well. He takes his fitness very seriously and has said so in many interviews since leaving rugby league. Touch wood he plays the entire season, he is a natural athlete and we will be all the better for having him at our club.Originally posted by redwhiteandbluetill_i_die View Postthis guys is clearly a ****en moron. yes rugby league is a tough game. yes sbw got injured a lot for the doggies. why?
becuase he was a kid playing like a battering ram and his body wasnt use to it. name me one forward who has been introduced to the top grade before the age of 20 as a perminant fixture that doesnt sustain a lot of injuries in the early years???
the guy might of had a smaller work load playing ra ra but that wasnt from lack of want it just wasnt there. his body is now older and more seasoned to contact. i think he will do fine. yes there are questions to be raised about the pec but as long as that is 100% sbw will be dominateComment of the year:

Who's the coach... Brian Smith?
Not defending yawnion, but the figures are punk. 2 Different sports with significantly different demands. Union also has things like rucks and mauls which won't count as "tackles" because they aren't in Union. Rucks/mauls also sap a lot your energy because the play doesn't stop once the payer has been held (whereas jumping in to help a brother out in League is a "tackle" as soon as they are deemed to have been held.)
If he can survive playing for the ABs he can survive the NRL.
