  • What the Fark where Penrith Thinking ??????

Jennings only needed 15 mins to show his worth as a player, his sublime pass to Tupou and his strength form dummy half to score, then schooled Lyon twice in defence.

The 4 points honestly flattered womanly, the blokes in pink kept them in it, good to see nothing has changed.

Cordner was awesome, Dylan Napa was terrific, Oldfield cemented a wing spot, On a sour note Maubs will be spending alot of time at Newtown, his hands looked to be painted on at times.

I am happy to say our goal line defence was first class, Womanly were camped in our 20 for most the second half after being piggy backed down field.

I do not know who the 14 was for Toyota cup, but he was one hell of a player.

It may only be early but we have a hell of a lot to look forward too.

Get on Jennings leading try scorer, he will score plenty this season

Jokatama Dokonivalu was 14. He looks a real athlete. Was a stand out in the NYC game with Tago & Martin.

Thought Aubs was solid, produced a great tackle to stop manly going over the line

Mixed game from Maubs, dropped a few but his defence was solid and he pulled off a great tackle to stop a Manly try.

Get on Daniel Tupou for NRL leading tryscorer at 100/1 before the odds come tumbling down the kid will score plenty on that left side outside SBW and Jennings and also plenty from kicks.

Yeah 14 was Dokonivalu he was a standout in NYC Osullivan recruited him from the bullscum.I have to agree with PWN Aubo will be playing a lot of NSW cup we have too many back rowers ahead of him to think Odonnell,Guerra will be in the 17 somewhere and young Samisoni Langi impressed as well and FPN had a dig too.

Jokotama Dokonivalu was sensational. I had no idea what position he was playing though, I don't think he knew either. He was standing at first receiver so often you'd think he was the halfback. Loved that he wanted to get so involved. For the size of him he was pretty decent in defence as well I thought. But if that 20s team is to go anywhere they'll need a new halfback. Everything Cornish touched turned to sh!t. He was even getting clearing kicks charged down in the second half. Unfortunately the 6, Jake Maklouf's kicks were no better. Alex Thomas who started at 9 today and is normally a five-eighth should be in the halves, probably at 7 cos I think he's got a better kicking game than both of them. He looked bloody good at 9 so I'm sure 7 won't be too much of a stretch for him.

On Jennings, I think he'll be the best centre in the league this year outside Pearce and Cordner. I know that is a big call on one 20 minute performance in a trial. But he played all over the current best centre and that was without a first grade half feeding him good ball. And if RTS moves to fullback before the halfway mark of the season he'll look even better. He did plenty well to even be considered for Origin sides outside Burns and Walsh.

Interesting you say that, Yak's report would indicate he was somewhat disappointing.

Yes, Oldfield didn't do anything wrong, the flow of the ball just seemed to go towards Topou's wing, most of the time, and he made the most of it, it just piss's me off we resigned Mini, the back 3 should be 1. RTS, 2. Oldfield, 3. Topou, thats how it should be, but the club made one bad decision, and probably wont have the balls to fix it, so we'll have to live with it this season.

Imagine if Moga was fit then it would be really embarrassing.

If Oldfield holds onto Maloney's cut out in the first half and runs down the wing to score or set up his centre to score then the perception of how he played may be totally different. But for mine, Tupou looked for the ball a bit more and when he got it he looked all class.

I didn't see any of it, but it was just a trial (just saying.)

Both teams would have used a mixture of 1st graders and juniors and a number of key players were out.

That said I agree... for the past 10 years Gus has had no idea. All he seems to do is push his opinions and create conflicts at the Riff. We have a great season ahead!!
