  • Expect to see the Roosters all over the news on Monday

For all the right reasons. SBW will be training and representing the Roosters and the media will be relentless on us next week.

Last nights controversial boxing win was a great result. All his team mates saw it and, I doubt they'd say it to SBW, but they all know that deep down big Sony was on his way down by a big fat 44 year old guts. In saying that, the big fatty had some good fitness for his size to come home so strongly.

Sonny will turn up to Monday's training knowing exactly how that fight went and that it was so unconvincing on his behalf, as is his future in boxing. He now has a lot to prove to his fellow players as to why he deserves super-star status in the team. If he'd knocked out the old fella in the first round the other players would be in awe...however, they all know the truth now.

Sonny is a mere mortal, not a superman, and needs to impress his team mates...and all of us cash paying supporters.

That would imply he cares what his team mates or fans think.....

Wants a contract for 2014 is really the only thing that would be big news.

          Comment of the year:

Probably either to do with him being in doubt for round 1 or that he is about to start training and pumped for round 1. Doubt it will be anything we don't know already.

And that's exactly what it is. Handshake agreement for 2014.

He was only getting pumped in the final round because Botha started doing the dodgy.

SBW was punched in the back of the head multiple times and Botha also bunches the ref twice. That's 1 reason why the points decision was so decisive. But... it also explains why SBW was a bit shaken.

Still don't get why they secretly changed it to 10 rounds? (Which isn't a WBA fight.) I suspect that's what Botha wanted and it was part of the agreement so he could keep his title regardless. My guess is there will also be a re-match (controversy = marketing.)

Well, if they made it clear that a "handshake deal" had been struck, then the NRL could argue that a contract of sorts was in place and attempt to restrict his off-season activities. I'm betting there'll be no agreement publicly announced until the end of the year.
