I didn't bag your prediction, I was bagging your ridiculous comment that Botha was never a good fighter.

Your opinion on that matter leads me to believe that you probably haven't seen him throw a punch.

P.S If the fight doesn't go the distance, it will because Botha is too ****ed to continue rather than Sonny knocking him out.

So my prediction is SBW to win by points decision.
The personal insults leveled my way for no reason other than you disagreeing with my assesment of the fight Lead me to call you a tough keyboard hero I am not the 1st to experience this from you Nor will I be the last

Personally as a BOXER I didnt rate Botha even in his prime One dimensional fighter Off the top of my head the only heavyweights in the last generation I considered as BOXERS and not just fighters were Holyfield and Lennox Lewis These days Klitschko does a good job of boxing for his size I never ever rated Tyson as a BOXER Fighter yes boxer no There is a difference It showed when he fought those whom I always considered as boxers

Finally surely you do realise that fighters can get KOD because they are to tired too keep going
Andy, you're a toff...plain and simple. The way you carry on about other people and the fact that you consider yourself above everyone else brings me to that conclusion.

I don't consider it 'tough keyboard hero' - just realism. I would say the same thing if you were sitting across the dinner table Andy.

I'm not even going to get into your second paragraph because I don't agree with 98% of it.

Lastly, yes I realise that boxers can be KO'd because they are too tired, it's actually happened to my good self Andy.
In saying that, Botha is an old man, if he's tired and struggling I doubt his corner are going to think twice about throwing in the towel.

He knows he won't beat Sonny, but he doesn't want to get seriously hurt doing it. He just wants to cash his cheque and go home to bed.

I seriously hope he does. It will be good for the team if he does. But as I have said before, I reckon he will not be our big diff this year tho.

Hey, and whats going on? No insults today???

Sorry I didn't know that the only 2 decent boxers around are Lewis and Holyfield. If that's the case then I agree... Botha's got nothing.

It's an easier concept that should be understood Ralphy.... Don't waste your breath (typing) if they don't understand.....

If you ever get the chance to meet him & have a beer with him at a game you wont think that.

They are 2 different types of fitness but at the end of the day it will make no difference.

He could struggle in the 1st 6 weeks but I dont think it will be due to fitness. He might open the season with a blinder which I hope he doesn't because then the expectations will go through the roof or he might have a quiet one, it just all depends on what the expectations people have on him.

For Rd 1 if he is fit I would expect 15 to 20 tackles 80 to 100 metres gained, 4 offloads, 1 linebreak. I think that is reasonable.

Can anyone tell me the last Rugby Union player, or Boxer who ran forward and back for 10m, 150 times in 80 minutes? 150 being 6 tackles by 25 sets a game... Averages..
Picked themselves up off the ground 15-20 times in 80 minutes?
                    Wrestled with 2 or 3 guys weighing 100-115kg 15-20 times a game?
Carried 2 or 3 guys who weigh 100-115 kgs for 2 or 3 metres 10-20 times a game?
Chased a kick for 40-50m 20+ times in 80 minutes?

Vice versa...... Can anyone tell me the last time a rugby league player held their hands at head/eye level for 12 x 3 minute rounds in a squared circle whilst they danced their way away from a knockout?

Crystal ball stuff dude but I like your enthusiasm.

Why do you think he will struggle in the first 6 weeks? Surely his 'supreme' fittness will overcome everything else?
