I said many years ago on the old Wall Forum that it would be a great song for us, I still think that today.

I could never get into AIC. His voice was too nasally and sounded like he was caught in a yawn all the time.
Good heavy grooves though and yes, brings back many memories or snippets of memories from the 90's. AIC were always on high rotation at many of the parties. We all tried to get our falsetto on and do the high harmonies in Rooster. At 4am after 2 packs of durries and 20 beers, that was something to hear....
Easily the greatest decade of Rock. In my opinion.Member 2008 - forever

Pearl Jam will probably always be my favourite, ever since I saw Eddie Vedder put on one of the greatest shows I've ever seen at the Entertainment Centre in the early 90's I've loved the bloke.

Yeah I've also been an Alice in Chains fan for a long time. Jerry Cantrell wrote the song about his father who served in Vietnam. I think an extract of the song would be great to play at the stadium. However, it is not really a suitable song to pump people up.
I had the pleasure of meeting the band in about 1994 or so. It was great. Layne was still somewhat lucid at that point. Earlier I'd seen them play. The support band was Suicidal Tendencies who were a band whose fans hated to see them support anyone. During the gig Layne jumped into the crowd and started swinging at some Suicidals fan who spat on him. The gig was over not long after.
Greedy - I agree with your comment about junkies. Not sure if you know much about Layne's last few years but let me tell you, he became one of the worst, lowest junkies you could imagine. His last few years on Earth produced nothing. Very sad but no one could get through to him and his health had really gone to hell.

I prefer that they play the old fashion "easts to win" song, especially at the games during heritage round.Comment of the year:
