Funny you say that SJ as the beach is fully covered in snow also! We live right near the beach and its a very strange thing, being a beach and coast loving Aussie, to see a beach covered in snow. Something we would never see back home.

I can see your comparison though as beach footy takes a lot out of ya. These guys were playing unlimited interchange and were really on the field for no more than 3-4 mins at a time before being subbed. Poor bastards only got a 1 min or so rest before some other tired player put their hand up for a change!

If they had some of those ski jackets on and some really warm clothing, it would be pretty fun to play in the snow. Certainly beats beach footy where everyone drowns the poor bugger with the footy in his hands.

Yeah, its quite rare to see soo much snow here actually. It does happen every winter but just not too often and the temps can change quite a bit so it usually melts within a few days. This time though, it has stayed on the ground since Tuesday and seeing as the temps have stayed below zero for the past week, the lakes and canals have frozen over and the brave/stupid people have been out skating on them. In fact its been soo cold, even the sea harbour has started to feeze over!
