I don't believe Minichiello is finished. For one, he has not been playing football consistently. Two he is not playing fullback. And three, he has not been taught anything by the current coaching staff. Once Minichiello moves back to his custodian role, he will be one of our best players week in, week out. But at the moment, I'm pretty happy with the job Perrett is doing at the back. But come next season, hopefully Minichiello to fullback, Perrett on one wing and Kenny-Dowall, Earl, Waqa, Moeakiola and Towers to fight for the other wing spot. Williamson and Mitch Aubusson in the centres, Carney at five-eighth and Pearce in the halfback role. Jones would be the utility on the bench as he can play all the crucial positions eg. fullback, hooker, halves. Good backline I think.

        mini is so finished

he was finished 3 years ago

The guy used to be able to break tackles.
        That was the c's weapon.

Now he couldnt bust a zit.

        Useless. Waste of space.

Not doing much weights for a couple of years means he won't be able to break many tackles, I'll give him the offseason, and then 6 games in 2010 before I decide.
He's very competitive, so at this stage I'm backing him to come back, maybe not to Golden Boot level, but better than anything we've seen since his absense.
Pez does great dummy half runs, can catch (now), but doesn't inject into the backline or broken play like the really good fullbacks do.

Hopefully it can grow back during the offseason.
Only time will tell us the answer.

In the meantime, Inglis might ragdoll Mini, like he does Soward on Sat.

When he can play fullback or on the wing, and has had a chance to build strength and confidence, we will see the old Mini.
He overcame a bad back injury and was near his best when he got hurt again. Give him a chance...he is almost human.

It is pathetic seeing him picked at 5/8 every week,he comes back from a long injury stint and has to put up with this crap that Fittler keeps dishing up.
Hopefully next year he will be back either on the wing or fullback,i can see him and Perret switching between those positions next year.
