Does anyone know where to get the 87 major semi against manly to rewatch again..I remember it was a scorcher weather wise and even though we lost the game it was mentioned alot how physical and hard that game was.The loser was never gonna back up against canberra that were on a roll the following week.If anyone has it or knows where to grab it can you let us know.

Yeah clearly remember being there that day...hell of a game that one and you're right, we had no chance backing up the next week.
One thing that still stands out is Danny Shepard making a 30m bust....he was in but I don't think he could quite believe he'd made the break (he was a prop, but very mobile) and as he was in the clear he instinctively hesitated and looked around for support...Fatty Vautin came from the clouds to pull him down...Shepard got over the line but was penalised for a double movement...that probably cost us in the end...if he'd just put his head down and gone for it he'd have scored for sure.
Anyway, back to your question...as part of the new NRL media deal, all games going back years will soon be available to buy and view on line...with the oldest recorded game available being an international from 1921...so if you can wait you'll be able to purchase this game before long...

Living in brisbane that was my first yr since i started getting into football that the roosters were up in the finals race, remembering every week catching up with a roosters schoolmate every monday talking about the run they were on.Clearly a great time in my life only passed by lying on the bed listening to the radio where we came from the clouds to beat newcastle in that semi final with freddys interception, of course the 2002 g.f flying down and enjoying every moment and celebrating with warriors fans after the game with there i feel like chicken tonight shirts and of course that extra time semi against the tigers with braiths field goal and skds try.Don't get to see the roosters much up here but like the semi with the gold coast every now and then it can benefit.

I remember that game at the SCG, I was with my dad watching it.
Manly were just to good, they came to play tough, hard, dirty footy & the poor old Chooks wern't up for it.
The following week against the Raiders was the game I felt so sorry for the Roosters, man they got bashed by Manly but gave as good as they got but against the Raiders the fire was almost out & they just couldn't contain them & then seeing David Trewella on our own line defending having BIG Mal steamrole him & completely knock him out was crushing.
Dont know where you would find a copy of that game.
