  • The best thing to come out of this is that it shows Robbo and the new management group are in charge and will not accept any crap attitudes or bad behaviour.

The worst thing is it leaves us very thin out wide. But in saying that I find it hard to believe that the Club would release Leilua and not have a replacement in mind especially given Moga's injury as well. Time will tell.

As for BJ, he had enormous potential but there is no room for players with lazy, poor attitudes.

      • It is easy to be a good touch footy player and run into gaps and step a bloke

        defense is hard work

BJ clearly didnt like hard work

        • if I was Canavan/O'Sullivan I would be in contact with the managers of some of the Raiders young outside backs with a nice juicy contract offer which the Raiders couldn't match, its likely 2 out of Edrick Lee/Jack Wighton/Anthony Milford won't be starting the year in first grade being behind the likes of Dugan/Robinson/Croker/Ferguson.

it is a very widely used tactic to throw the carrot in front of a young player who then become restless and wants to leave knowing he is stuck in reserve grade.

Milford would be a Ben Barba type fullback
Wighton/Lee could be very handy centres/wingers.

          • Initially dissappointed as BJ had massive potential, but if his attitude is crap I'm glad the coaching staff had the balls to sack him.

As a club we're growing our stones back and sending a very clear message to current and potential players.

            Chook.

Pretty sure he extended his contract recently. Milford is a half/five eighth. Why would we sign him to cover outside backs? They also have a very good young centre/winger named Jeremy Hawkins. He missed a lot of footy this season because of injury and he will become one of the more talked about players in 20's next year

                • I'm disappointed that we have wasted so much time on BJ and will not get to reap the rewards! I could never understand why people talked him up so much but he obviously has something going for him because a number of good judges have supported him in the past. In saying that, I couldn't be happier that we finally have a coach who is willing to make a stand and do what he believes is required to win football games!! There is no room for dickheads with poor attitudes at our club!
Well done Robbo and good luck!

Agree HC. Good luck to whichever club nabs him off the Raiders because IMO Hawkins has exceptional ability to get across the line.
Has really impressed me each time i've watched him play. Reminds me a lot of Sean Hoppe.

Soliola was training with us a few weeks ago maybe he is availble.
                          Henry is average.

you are being too kind.. I like Symonds though, not as a centre but he has something to offer if he can stay fit.

                                Agree on both counts.

Henry belongs in the reggies and I think Symonds has something to offer too.

Symonds has got some talent and is one of those blokes that could come off the bench and play anywhere.

If he can get over his injuries and pull his finger out, he should get a bench spot. He's too versatile not to use.
