the ranga that could fit in to just about every position; centre, half, hooker; and do badly.
i dont mind having him back though, as long as he is used as a reserve and nothing else.
anyway, the reason he was signed was because we have no indigenous representitive for the all stars match next year.
every team has to nominate an indigenous player to play in the team next year.
since ant mitchell left, we have no indigenous players, so we had to get jonesy back, so he can play (again) in the all stars match.

I'll add to that.Someone I know who traced his heritage......he had to be also be accepted by a Koori tribe for it to be legit.

Kind of reminds me of anastakalcandismicanittis, the poor bloke was considered a Greek when really it was only a 1/4 of the story, poor bloke was so embarrassed of his 3world heritage he had to change and shorten his name. The roosters are paying zero dollars for him and he has no value against our cap and is not part of our 25 man playing squad.

This is because he is not contracted to the Roosters, he is contracted to the Newtown District Rugby League Football Club. He is registered for Newtown to play in the NSW Cup.

He does not play for the Roosters.
