Possible Blues selections from our team:
Pearce:
Mitchell Pearce will never take any origin game by the throat and win it for us simply because he is not as good as what everyone makes him out to be, especially at that level. I know that every chookpener will now highlight the previous sentence and say that "statistically he is the best halfback in the comp" or whatever but of the oppurtunities which he has been given at rep footy, he has only really stood out in one city game last year, where they were up against a weak country halves combo. That being said, I reckon he will probably get the gig. The reynolds's will most likely get 2nd year syndrome and Wallace is really no better. We're picking the best of a bad bunch, much like our current politicians.
This might sound silly but Farah may be the halfback the blues are looking for.
Cordner
Will most likely get a gig not next year but the year after. There are too many good backrowers currently in the team and he has only really had one full season to test himself. If he has a good year next year, I can see him getting a gig in 2014.
BJ
??? Depends which BJ your asking about. A hot and cold player who can do some remarkable things and also some stupid things. Needs consistency at our club first before getting a gig. Hopefully next season is a breakout season for him.
Maloney
Probably not, even though he would give the team a good goal kicking option. Carney's form for the sharks was good last year and they will probably go on that. He came to life in game 2 last year in origin and really showed what he is capable of. Can't see him being dumped.
The moth
If Stewart, Dugan, Hayne and maybe Merritt get injured then he might be a chance. He had a shocker in his last game at suncorp, but he had a good game at ANZ previously and he has stood up at that level previously. Who knows
Aubo
Very slim chance to be picked but he may be a chance for a bench utility position which is still up for grabs, seeing as though he can play in the forwards and a little in the backs. Has some speed for a backrower and when he is on, like in 2010 he has some reliability in that you know what you are going to get from him. 80 min tough player too.Last edited by davos; 12-15-2012, 01:38 PM.Comment of the year:

I tihnk this year was Pearce's last Origin game for a while.
Hes one of the best halfbacks......but the things is there arent that many good halfbacks.
One of the main reasons he was getting picked alot was because he was the best halfback option. Earlier this year Reynolds was untestede and Pearce is much better than Wallace and Mullen.............but now Reynolds has taken the platter of NSW's best halfback and Sam Williams has been discovered.
I still think Pearce is better than S.Williams but they'd be willing to try Williams. Theyve already tried Pearce often so realisticly Reynolds and Williams are ahead.
Apparently JWH is getting pissed of because Sam McKendry got picked ahead of him and Kearney is ommiting him from a deserved spot in the Kiwis team. He said it in an article and said if he doesnt get picked next year hes thinking about switching to NSW. I actually rate him above Grant but the thing is hes ill-discliplinary so hes a liabillity. Robbo can fix that but JWH is a possible if he switches and thats IF he doesnt get picked for ANZAC test.
Josh Reynolds will probz get 5/8 spot. Carney is good but he cant dominate unlike 2010. The last time hes dominated was against Warriors during the sh#t period rounds 18-26. Sezer if he has a breakout but Maloney is a good chance IF he returns to 2011 form.
I was excited bout Kyle Stanley but he got an accident injury on ACL.

mini, bj, maloney, pearce, cordner and aubo spring to mind but thats about it, which is surprising for a sydney based club
JWH, FPN, SKD, SBW, RTS, Henry, seleuini, taka and arona (i think both are from cook islands),
and a couple of qlders,
Guerra, Friend, Tasi (i think), moga and Kennedy.
Not sure where Tupou, and Oldield are from/ Played their junior rep footy for.Comment of the year:
