BJ Leilua. Saw what he did in the City v Country game last year with a decent bit of ball and in patches (limitted) for us. Cordner will go from strength to strength. If Marty can stay fit I expect him to be back where he was few years ago with emerging origin selections etc.
Outside of that the whole team needs to. As someone else said no more excuses. The whole joint has been cleaned out. Players are next if we end up in the same position.

I've seen glimpses of what he could be, just not often enough.
If he can't step up, this year, it might be time to look at other options for 7.
People are too harsh on Pearce. Hes not as bad and underperforming as people think, his stats say otherwise and hes won us alot of games really the only think missing about him is that he cant dominate. That is the reason he cant fulfil his potential. Sure a solid halfback like Peter Wallace may come in handy but you need a dominant one like Reynolds, Cronk and DCE to get you into the finals.
Pearce is a solid halfback like Mullen and Wallace but he needs to become a dominant playmaker. Thats the reason he did sh#t in Game 3 of Origin. If you want to perform at that level you have to dominate.
I feel the Dogs overachieved and they will probably slip next year as the problem of having an average halfback starts to cause problems but they'll still be therabouts. With a new coach and 5/8 hopefully he can step up. He has the potential to win a Dally M and I mean it. He beat the likes of Paul Gallen etc. in the Dally M charts(thats why I think he deserves more credit, hes not as bad as people make out to be and hes the most valuble payer in our side even with SBW next year) all he needs to do is be dominant.
If he fails we should still re-sign him, but for less. There arent too many options available. We could go for someone like Sam Williams, Jacob Miller or Luke Keary but even then then Pearce is still and always will be better than Williams. Keary is a future superstar but hes a 5/8 and Miller, well lets put it this way everyone thought Pearce would be a top 10 player but hes like a top 30 player. The prblem is not many halves touted as stars end up being as good as people think they'll be. Remember Mullen made Origin in 1st year now hesa decent Halback. Hunt is now playing Qld cup, Rovelli is forgotten.
A bloke called JT ho put himself on the market as a free agent for 40k won 2 Dally M player of the year at halfback and halfback of the year in 09. A funny galaxy we live in.
