And yes imo offloading is ball playing as it's not the random chance or base skill as you stated. To be able top draw multiple defenders, stand in the tackle AND offload successfully takes a lot of skill, a lot more than passing before the line imo. We'll agree to disagree.

    Chook.
Will have to. You will never sway me that standing in tackle is harder than picking apart a well organised defence with a beautiful pass.

That's not a forwards role, that's the pivots job. This is where I get back to my assumption that your thinking the above facet of the game is what you deem as a ball playing forward, which is far too narrow a definition imo. Ask most pundits of the game if a forward with a good offload is known as a "ball player" and you'll find the vast majority say yes.

        Chook.

Interesting. You are the only pundit in this discussion who considers it as such.

Josh Jackson is a ball playing backrower. Look at his game vs the Cows. Mateo and Bird are also perfect exaples.

sbw is a ball playing backrower. as is taka.
thats why i believe that taka would benefit from having sbw around

James Graham gets my vote for best ball playing forward in the comp. He is a 5_8 trapped in a props body.

Graham is being wasted at the Dogs IMO. You may say "Goat stop smoking joints you merkin go back to homeschool" but theres a reason.

Graham is the best prop behind Tamou, Scott and Burgess and he's being played on the bench. He should be a starting prop. Bulldogs say that he adds good bench value and Tolman is doing great but unless hes not getting a start ahead of Tolman hes being wasted.

I would take Graham over those other props you named. Grahams game against manly at Brookvale was the best individual performance by any forward in the nrl last year.
