Anyone who reads Rothfield's columns is a bloody headcase. I stop bothering with the telecrap years ago and haven't looked back.

FFS the bloke can't even compose a 140 character twitter message without raping the english language every 4 words. Why would you want to give money to an organisation that employs such a moron as an EDITOR OF A BLOODY NEWSPAPER

It's a gossip column and he's supposed to be controversial and get people to disagree with him and get them to discuss his pieces amongst themselves. There's no doubt he succeeds on that front when it comes to fans in general, and especially with you lot. I'd imagine supporters from all clubs probably disagree with a lot of what he writes, even sharks supporters. I think his criticisms of Brian Smith in particular have been unfair to a large degree, but then you could probably say he had the last laugh. Another thing to remember is that a lot of supporters from other clubs do hate the Roosters vehemently, so he's obviously going to play up to that. When it comes to O'Sullivan though, I reckon he has a point. That guy should be nowhere near this club, or any club
I agree with that post Teabags, well the bit about Rothwitt. I've been saying for a few years now how enjoyable it is not to read that rag, other than what's reprinted here, and that I just ignore cos it's always garbage, as you said "gossip column".

I disagree about POS. Patsy for News fiLTh. He Ain't the first and won't be the last.

So you're a subby or a production assistant or a photographer or something. Either way you work for the lowest of the low, which is your prerogative (a man's gotta earn), but defending the indefensible? That's asking for it.

Rothfield is a grub i can't wait for next year, the sharks won't be any better as Jeremy Smith is better than all of their new signings.

What I don't get about the whole POS thing is. He is basically a recruitment officer right? So he finds up and coming players from 20's to young union boys etc etc. He would be given a budget to find and sign young kids?? So how would he have anything to do with how much inglis is paid? He would of done there original contract when they were young but surely he wouldn't of witnessed there first grade contract. Or am I missing something?

                          Seriously who cares?

He is not going to be sacked from the Roosters no matter how much some twit bellyaches about him.

                          POS, champion.

                            Finally someone who sees sense.

I've floated this before but most don't seem to want to see the matter using logic.

IMO the player managers issue is exactly the same. Their JOB is to get the best deal for the PLAYER. Their charter shouldn't include the salary cap, the NRL or the clubs.

Remember it is News fiLTh who OWNS Melba. It is also News fiLTh who own the rag that blamed EVERYONE but the owners of Melba for rorting the salary cap.

                            It's called the Patsy game.

Exactly. I have always thought this. He recruits. He doesn't manage the club's finances I would have thought.
