    linnet isnt coming back.
moga was identified as the next big thing in the latter stages of 2011. we already had three centres (linnet, bj and skd) so one had to leave as to accomodate moga.
it was a toss up between linnet and bj really, and i think management made the right choice.
sure, linnet will always be the decent, i got your back centre, but i doubt he will go any further than club level.
on the other hand, leilua has proved to be a player oozing talent, although inconsistent, bj has showed us what he can do, and how he can play with quality halves.
linnet was told he wasnt in the roosters future plans, and was let go. why would we want to get him back?

      Different coach?

I personally would have kept him over BJ & I think BJ has plenty of potential but I hate to say it I just think the Islander boys go missing. Linnett had a heaps better year than any centre at the Roosters this year & I think with his continuation of FG & weights training he will play SOO in a couple of years.

And so he should have. His team has the current Australian 5/8th as well as a dynamic fullback and the Aussie front row. What did we have???? A has been fullback, a 5/8th who only runs when he eats a dodgy curry and young untried pack of forwards.

Now that BJ's in the mix, if he hadn't had off-field issues last season, he would have played Origin.

The forces that be obviously think he's better.

Kane left because he got a big dollar offer from the cowboys who were cashed up when Willie Tonga left. There were very few tears shed on the chookpen at the time Kane left. It cost us in 2012 with SKD injuries, Maubs poor form, BJ in strife and moga being bludger

Does that explain why he had the best tackle effiency of all NRL centres?

                  Linnett has a football brain.

The same can't be said for SKD, Moga or Leilua.

Mate most of them played in a GF in 2010 & were going to be world beaters in 2011 they have then played the 2012 season as well.

IMO Kane Linnet is a better centre than anyone we have & yes it could be because of Thurston but you dont get the opportunity often to be able to play with a player of Thurstons calibre & suddenly become good, Kane Linnett was a top player who the Roosters couldn't afford but the Cowboys could & they brought him because they could see his potential.

He is a tallish guy who I think will get bigger muscle wise each season & harden up. It will be his 4th season of NRL next year so he has his best years ahead of him. I tip him to play SOO not next year but possibly 2014?

Next year will tell, Linnet is good but Skd and Leilua are both better on there day.

Linnett was solid but will never be as good as Jamie Lyon. Hes aint a strike centre. Just a quality one watch BJ develop in the future.
