  • Bulldogs v Roosters trial cancelled?

beetroot face was reporting yesterday that the Roosters v Bulldogs trial at belmore in february had be cancelled as the Roosters wanted the match taken away from Belmore and the dogs refused.

I wonder if the club is expecting SBW to be fit/available for the trial and didn't want the hassle/security issues involved with him playing at Belmore.

can anyone confirm the dates/times/locations of our trials for the upcoming season.

I went to this yrs trial we were outnumbered 1000/1, its was like going to syria for the day, I cant see why we cant alternate venues each yr.

I refuse to watch any live bulldogs match. There are too many complete n utter bulldog idiots n you can't be assured of your safety.

I like the idea of going back to Belmore to watch the trial.

I know the Dogs have alot of Aussie/Middle Eastern supporters but they also have alot of diehard supporters who have followed them for 50 years like my cousin who has lived his whole life at Roselands. His dad my uncle was on the Board at the Dogs when the salary cap drama went down. My cousins son Liam O'Brien has made this years SG ball squad for them, and as much as i dislike the Dogs Im hoping he makes it. He is 16 & he plays 1/2 back & I have told him if he is good enough he could be the next Roosters FG 1/2 back.

I was planning to go as well with my some of my nieces and nephews as one of my sisters and also my cousin live right near the ground. My mother grew up in Campsie and we went to Belmore a lot to watch Parra during the time they were building the stadium. Shannon was going to come too and we were going to make a day of it. I'd much rather we play at home though..

Thank God my dads family were poor because all they could afford was to live in a battlers area called Paddington 80 years ago, which is why we have the red white & blue in our blood.

I wish my poor grandparents place was still in the family now.

Where you live now is not bad part of the world Stephen.

Yes, and after the vile abuse mrs BB suffered at the hands of some female Dogs' supporters at this season's trial, no way I'm paying money to set foot in a Dogs' home game ever again.
If she insists on going, I'll drop her at the gate, go to Bondi for the day...lunch at Easts [maybe the supposed 'sports bar' will be finished by then] and collect her after the game.
The trials are a 'joke' anyway...just glorified training sessions.
The players are all in jerseys where the numbers bear no resemblance to the program, 'reserve grade + trialists' no names in program play the first half, and some first graders play the second half.
                        Boooring!
A waste of time and money really.
Might as well trial our own firsts/'reserves' against our own 'firsts/reserves' ...no spiteful thugs trying to maim our players.
                        Kiss the Dogs goodbye.

You've done well to avoid being a feral mutts supporter Mickey.
