  • Raw Deal For Us In Qld - only one game.

Not impressed by the NRL draw - only one game in Qld and it is in Townsville. This is the second year in a row this has happened. If there had to be one, it would have been better if it was on the Gold Coast or Brisbane.
I suppose it could have been worse - we could have had none.
Hope to see all the Qld residents up in Townsville.
    Pauline Robinson from the "Wall".

Yeah it's disappointing for sure. I would love to have a reason outlined as to why the broncs n titans don't want us up here.

        Well i've learnt my lesson...
$85 + airfares & accomodation for my interstate membership package this year...
From now on i'll wait for the draw to come out...

I should've purchased a home games package & supplied my relatives in Sydney with tickets when i couldn't make it down...

Hope the Townsville game doesn't get moved to Darwin...

Noyce is no longer ceo for that to happen. Agree with the Draw being BS though. We have heaps of interstate supporters in QLD in Particular. I gotta feel sorry for you guys.

            PKR,

I will be there with bells on. I always purchase the Inter-State members pack, so the game in Townsville is the highlight of my year, as I get to meet the players and watch them live in the flesh.

I'm probably going to travel to a few games this year as well, coz I have a good feeling that we will have a bright year in 2013.

yeah, where are the 'requests' that certain clubs were meant to ask for.
sbw signed, surely all the big clubs would be dying to get them to play at their home ground.
              come on guys

its not f*ckin about who wants us up there.
the draw is randomised for the most part. if they took into consideration who wanted to play who and what day and what time, we wouldnt get the draw until the week before kick off

you get to watch 'the beautiful game' (which i reckon would be great to watch in a country that can actually play soccer rather than here in aus.
and of course the second rate dutch cricket.
what other sporting spectacles are there in the land of clogs and windmills?

Stuff the soccer. Cant stand it. And the Dutch team is overrated anyway. Dont forget what happened in Euro 2012. They were exposed big time. The world cup performance was a fluke in my opinion.

The do actually have a Rugby league comp here but its a very short season with only about 6 teams. They also play quite a bit of Rugby here. The two biggest sports are soccer and field hockey. I was sooooo excited to come here because of the hockey until the docs stopped me playing about a year and a half ago. I love my hockey. Tennis is quite big here also. Can you believe there is quite a large, growing surfing culture here. They generally ride slop but at least they have the balls to brave the North Sea temps.

They also love to dance. Now its not my thing to do, especially like this but check it out anyway...

Please spare a thought for the Rorting Storm. They are now bleating to the media about how badly done by they are with the draw. Maybe they should go for a boat ride, or take a day trip in a fancy sports car or go to the races at Flemington (and get paid $10,000 to do so) and admire their trophies to make themselves feel better. Poor dears..I feel so sorry for them..

the atmosphere is what would get me, i love a sporting spectacle with atmosphere, especially soccer, there is hardly any here in aus, and it will be a long time before there is.
i thought there was a league/union comp going on, but like most european teams, theyre growing. theyre league is like our soccer, its growing. it will get there eventually

oh and yeah, i get the hockey.
the dutch are like no. 2 or 3 in the world arent they?
then again, there arent too many teams that play hockey competitively at a high level.
aus, holland, england and germany spring to mind
