I was correct about Soliola and Pearce and I always said we'd be crap at the beginning of 2012. We'll be better in 2013 but mainly because of SBW.

Pearce may be pretty ordinary, but we should be looking at a rake before we sign another pivot/fullback.

Having said that, I'm not prepared to write Cooper off like most people are. I reckon he could be a real boon for the club.

IMO your ability to analyse player's abilities is overrated, Pearce will shine in 2013 - 2014 & I'm really looking forward to it!

He's no Cronk, and he's certainly no Thurston, but he's still a solid player and I think he'll do well with Maloney taking half the responsibility in attack away from him.

I totally agree. This will be his first season without that useless sack of crap Anasta playing in the 6. Lets see how him and Jim86 go together, I think they will go pretty well as they are both competitive blokes who I think will push each other and bring out the best in them and ultimately the team.

I agree. I'm quietly confident they will work well together. Give Pearce a fair go without Anasta and see what he can do before writing him off. He also should be happy the club punted Smith, so no more excuses for him in that regard. I read somewhere recently too that he has given up the grog in the lead up to Christmas, so he knows himself it is a make or break year for him.

Bingo. I think a lot of readers on here will be surprised at the diff that Maloney will make next season. I have said for a while that I believe the halves will be the key next season and the SBWs will be made to look good because of it.
