Speculation is rife that Israel Folau is about to end his short-lived AFL career.

Greater Western Sydney have called a media conference for Thursday afternoon and it will feature Folau, Giants coach Kevin Sheedy and chief executive David Matthews.

Folau was a massive signing last year for the league's newest team when he switched from a successful rugby league career.
