we have had a well deserved clean out.

trent now has a bunch of guys who have been thru crap and a crap coach. i he can bond them into a team we wil have alot of success. the club is building success thru its depth. every position in our fg team has some one that can do their job. no no posi is safe.

our 20s came 4th. not on the ladder (8) but in semis. we have great depth

Agreed. Maguire kept their game plan very simple this year as he did not want to over complicate things for players he was still getting to know. It will be a totally different kettle of fish next year. He now knows what each player is capable of and will be playing to those stregths. I honestly believe that Souths will go very close to winning the comp in 2013.

Still looking at it objectively, Souffs next seasons results, more than likely will blow ours out of the water.

They have built for a successful run. Sure injuries may derail that but they deserve to be held in higher regard than our club when it comes to favoritism for 2013.

I have been stunned at a lot of the bleeting on this site since our rookie coaching team has been announced. And the overrating of our young squad has been quite amusing.

Fans can hope and believe but after some of the expectations of the last couple of seasons hasn't been met, I was sure most would take a more cautious approach to their predictions for 2013.

As much as it pains me to say it, I agree with you. I can only hope the vermin get a bad run with injuries and / or suspensions. It's probably the best looking souffs team I've seen in my lifetime of watching league.

I love not far from redfern oval and watch them train quite a bit, especially during the last preseason. Couldn't believe how intense they were before the season had even started. Maguire is a big fitness man, and that's the first thing we need

I agree with what you are saying. Without the addition of SBW to the team I would be having similar expectations to what we saw this year. But with SBW I just think that he will bring enthusiasm and attitude to the other players. Also, they will be playing for a coach they like. Personally I don't rate maloney too highly. He had 3 or 4 very good games in 2011 but appart from this there's not much to him in my opinion. Plus he tackles like a bitch!

we remember smiths game plans last year(play whats in front of you)

right we now throw that away and have a few set moves, alot of support play and concentrate on copmletions of sets and disaplin.

look where we finished. one draw in the mix a few contencious descions which could have been an additional 6 to 8 point. no bad concidering what coaching we had(or lack of), having anasta in the team, and the team hating the coaches.

this year is no anasta, no smith and elliot, and alot of fresh new approaches to the game.
