Well said Jack.
I had several dealings with Steve Noyce and he was good at his job and was a very decent man.
He understood the big picture, was not impressed with how things were going and thatnkfully was not a knee jerk reactionist.
Canavan may do some great things, but he made some pretty poor decisions based on finance too. Trying to get rid of Harold Matts and SG ball was certainly a doozy. The Internet is a place for posting silly things

John you become more moronic every day - both in your psychobable views on footy and your increasingly abusive posts.Originally posted by John View PostPlease, and I'm begging here, don't breed. If you have already, adopt your poor frigging kids out before you damage them irreparably.

Me either.. He never gave me any confidence at all that he was a progressive leader.. that said a part of me feels sorry for him. I am not sure Canavan is an upgrade either. Neither hold a candle to Burnie Gurr. I would have rathered we moved on in a new direction and not go back to the past which is what Canavan represents. I guess he is a guy Politis trusts but I am not sure what he is going to bring to the table which is different to what he or Noyce did in the past.Originally posted by Vasco View PostI'm happy we got rid of Noyce. Never impressed me, but I'm only one person....

You truly are a head case with serious issues. You may not agree with Jack's opinions regarding our club's administration, but to attack someone personally about family matters and in such an insensitive manner on a forum is about as low as it goes. If I were choosing a role model for my children I'd know who I'd rather have.Originally posted by John View PostPlease, and I'm begging here, don't breed. I think not! If people want doormats, they can go to Bunnings. Forums are not places for twisted bitter individuals to make personal attacks just because they are bored/lonely/demented. A few good bannings of a few bad men is in order I believe..Originally posted by Jacks Fur Coat View PostThanks BF...this lad is the Trolls troll.
But banning him would kill him...this is all he's got.
We all got abuse from trolls on these forums I guess...its the risk we take."Be good enough to forgive people but don't be stupid enough to trust them again."

I think we'd all agree that Burnie Gurr would be the best result, but it's not to be and Canavan is a great appointment, especially with his role as COO fitting into a new structure.Originally posted by Cockadoodledoo View PostMe either.. This is where his strengths lie...operations, precedures, structures etc....hence him being employed to conduct reviews by the NSWRL and now the ARLC re. the shoulder charge.
The re-structure is the key here and Canavan's focus will be solely on footy operations, which is his area of expertise... with the other chap left to concentrate on the commercial apsects of the business.
Don't know much about him, but I like the way it's been structured.

I just looked up Scott Bennetts, he has a background in managing licensed clubs, why should Canavan report to Bennetts on football matters??? I must admit I know little about Bennetts, apart from his linkedin profile:

Current
