I don't think it'd isolate any fans (I'm one who's originally from "Sydney City" that now lives in Canberra.)

It's great how we have Newtown + Easts IMO... arguably the 2 most historical clubs. That said, during the heritage round other clubs seem to out-do us (e.g. While I hate St Merge, seeing the Steelers jersey is cool.)

Easts needs better management so that players and fans have more respect/sense of belonging. I hope the new changes work...

Im with you 100% on this topic. The sydney name has never worked for us, has anyone ever screamed out " go sydney" at one of our games? Ive never heard it. Whenever bringing up or cheering our club it is always Easts or Roosters. Our club has so much history and It would be great if the club would incorporate Easts back into the name even if they continue with the Sydney part. Then we could go back to our traditional rooster emblem that we all love and get rid of the plastic looking one.
