  • Few stories from telegraph..

We all know the DT is chocked full sh*t, but three little stories in it this morning are some good discussion points.

    1.
WRECKING ball Mose Masoe's days at the Roosters are numbered, with three Sydney-based clubs ready to swoop.

Masoe was dropped from the Roosters' top squad but is in demand after starring for the Newtown Jets in the NSW Cup finals series. A UK-based club is also offering big money.

    2.
CRAIG Fitzgibbon has wasted no time making an impression at the Roosters, with the club stalwart to be appointed as one of incoming coach Trent Robinson's two assistants.

Jason Taylor will be the other, while Mick Potter will coach the Chooks' Toyota Cup side should he miss out on the top job at the Tigers.

Meanwhile, Luke Williamson has been hired to coach Manly's NSW Cup side.

    3.
STILL on the Roosters, Jared Waerea-Hargreaves is filthy with the Kiwis after being overlooked from last night's Test.

We are told the Roosters enforcer would consider sitting out the next two years and making himself eligible for NSW if it wasn't for next year's World Cup. And we can't blame him.

The 108kg enforcer was outstanding this year, picking up the Roosters' player of the year and clubman of the year awards.

He was overlooked for Sam McKendry and Ben Matulino.

Mose - I don't know about him yet. Way too young to give up on in terms of front row prospects, but is he better than Evans or Napa in the long run? Hope he is around for next year to see what happens under a new coach.

Fitzy - Well done to Fitzy. But exciting bit I took out of this story was the link to Mick Potter. Potter has a lot of fans in coaching world, and I would happily say he would be one of most high profile coaches going around in under 20 comp.

JWH - Angry is he? GOOOOOOOOOOOOOD! I posted not so long ago that a few of our players missing out on rep stuff would be a bit of inspiration for them-notably JWH, FPN and SKD. With word cup next year a few of our boys may find themselves enticed by that carrot too.

There was talk for a little while that mose may be going to manly, that was based on kite staying or going i think.

Be nice to see JWH playing for nsw though.

        1. We need to keep Mose - he is still only early 20s, he loves the club and is under contract so I cant see that being a hard one. Its not like there are players directly ahead of him anyway. He should understand that he was dropped on fitness and form. I do trust that robinson and co see the potential and wont let him go just yet. He is the type of play that with a big pre-season under a good coach, would come out the other end like kasiano - as one of the best
        2. Well done fitzy - its good when ex-players that coach (and particularly club legends) have a clue. Mick Potter for the 20s would be phenomenal - he is a great top squad coach so that would be a great get by us and pretty well complete the picture in terms of coaching staff provided we are able to get a gun S&C coach on board because that is crucial (but robinson being the coach he is, I trust he will have that looked after).
        3. Nothing story really but he has cause to be disappointed...

so mosey being contracted to us for another 3 seasons means nothing. i a weird way it was a master stroke from smith to make mose pissed of enough to play well in the jets, and giving him enough games to be eligable for the finals. smith prefered fpn tasi and taka to mose.

Agree with Jared. How the f*ck did Sam McKendry and Adam Blair make it. One is an inconsistent player who sometimes does good the other one was one of the biggest flops this season

              1. An angry Mose is a good thing. He'll mentally picture Brian Smith's face on his opposition next year.

              2. Fitzy = Defence and kicking training with Maloney, I'll safely presume.

              3. Project: Angry Birdman - I'm glad he's on our side.

Jared missing out on the NZ gig was criminal, Masoe under Bellamy or Hasler would be unstoppable. Trent may get more out of him? He's problem has been aggression!

If that's true about Potter that would be massive.

We'd have a top notch coaching staff right there...all young and top notch.

Who has the conditioning gig for 2013? Anyone know??? There was talk of Mescia coming back, but I think he signed with Parra.

No! his lack of Agression. Mosoe had to go to a phsyc to teach him that it is OK to hurt other players, his personality is that of a kind hearted giant that doesn't like hurting anyone.

                          Loaded Weapon
IT WILL be interesting to see if incoming Roosters coach Trent Robinson appoints his brother, Dean Robinson, to the coaching staff. Dean has a colourful history. Nicknamed ''The Weapon'', he lived in the US where he was a rodeo clown and bullfighter, reportedly making it as far as the World Steer Wrestling Association titles in Oklahoma. He has previously spent time at Bondi Junction and Manly in NRL positions, before moving to the AFL. Currently at Essendon, Dean has been under the pump after the Bombers suffered a string of soft-tissue injuries. Brian Smith's assistants, son Rohan Smith and Matthew Elliott, have followed the head coach out of Bondi Junction. The Roosters have tried to entice Parramatta's strength and conditioning coach Ciriaco Mescia back to the club but he may stay put, opening up a potential spot for Dean.

It seems the club is trying to make room for a signing or two? Quade Cooper?
