So Daniel Tupou is unsigned for next year? I would have thought the club would have extended his contract by now.I also thought Cherro had another year to run.

We're merging with Souths in 2016 aren't we?

Looks like Mose is here for a while. I hope he came very cheap.
Maybe they should make him Newtown's long term captain.

Clubs seem to give very little in terms of contract situations with players. I'm not sure why but I'd be very surprised if they haven't locked Tupou up for another couple of seasons.

I hope so. We finally get some height and speed on the wing (and depth), we better hang on to it.

They are absolutely bonkers if they haven't signed Tupou yet.

Cant somebody in the know, make some enquiries as to the future of Daniel Topou, the others on that list coming off contract, doesnt really bother me too much if they go or stay, but I would of thought, Daniel was a keeper.,

Tupou isn't going anywhere, straight after the season finished the club confirmed he was here next year on their official twitter feed in response to a question about the Bulldogs rumour.

also interesting to note that Masoe recently tweeted he is here next year and isn't going anywhere.

So RTS is off contract end of next year. What happens if a club offers him big money in the next month or so and we lose him ???

Just like we signed Maloney a year before his contract expires.

Please roosters sign him now !!!!!

So you would re-sign Tagive, Mortimer, Friend, Moa(who no one has seen play NRL), Masoe, Arona, Kennedy, Leilua, but not Pearce?
Hahahahahaha f$&k you make me laugh sometimes. Do you hate him because his dad is famous or do you seriously think he is a shit footballer. Ask any coach, club, recruitment officer or player out there and they will tell you he is a good footy player. Better judges then you and me will tell you that. They can't all be As skillfull and brilliant as JT and Marshall or as clinical as Cronk. Considering he was never really a halfback in junior footy and really only took the role up when starting first grade, he is no mug but some people on here just can't see that. Is it jealousy??

I've only been watching football for 30 years. Pearce is a good footballer, he's just not a good halfback.

Like Brett Finch, also not a halfback's rectum because he's too emotional but when he was paired with a good halfback, in Cooper Cronk, as a 5/8th he looked calm and was able to do the job he was given.

Put Pearce at 5/8th and I think he'd improve markedly. Having watching James Maloney, who spent a lot of time at halfback for the warriors, I think that's his best position.

And I've seen Sam Moa go round in Super League. His role would be as an impact forward, 15 to 20 minute bursts. He'd tear it up.

Ok we'll I have been watching for around 25 yrs not that that means anything in this discussion.
So if he is a good footballer why not resign him? Is there someone better to take his place? Please don't say Mortimer, he is a good back up and nsw cup player but that is it. His passing game is non existent as is his running game. His support play is awesome and kicking game ok but Pearce really does have him covered.
He had Carney outside of him for 1 yr and Anasta had 1 good yr at the roosters. So the majority of his football has been played with 1- no creativity from the man outside of him 2- no creativity and average service from his dummy half and 3- with a fullback who adds nothing either. The modern game shows that your half back is no longer the focal point of your attack, he is part of it but not the be all and end all.
Yes he has deficiencies in his game, every player does. He is never going to be a JT type of player but people on think he should be.
As for Moa, what he gets up too in super league is completely different to over here. I'll use your mate Finch as an example. Over there at Wigan, he is killing it with Thomas Luluia as half back. Now he is no where near the same class as Cronk. I'd reserve judgment on Moa until he at least plays half a season over here

I believe if they put him at 5/8th he will improve and I many well grow to love him.
