WatchIng the Toyota Cub game against Wests, I noticed that although he has lightning foot work & speed off the mark. The Fijian flyer from wests gave him a cold he ran so far away when RTS was chasing him. Did anyone else notice that?

Rts
Granted RTS is not a speed merchant himself, but his footwork and handling, will hopefully more then make up for that, by putting fast players either side of him, away for clear runs to the tryline. Those players hopefully being Tupou and Oldfield, and Mini either retired or at Newtown, for injury back up requirements etc. I am so disappointed he hasent put the team first, and torn up his contract, surely he has enough brains to know first grade has passed him by now.

RTS will be an exceptional first grader. There is just something about him. Not his footwork. Not his acceleration. Not his anticipation. Just something in his DNA. He is a born winner. I think we will be talking about both RTS and Kane Evans in the same breath as the likes of Freddy, Fitzy and Ricko once there careers come to an end.

He is a gifted footballer, but more importantly he is a thinker he has that football brain that all the really good players have its been on display in the last couple of nyc games. He will play 5/8 in the future and i reckon he will be one of the really good ones hopefully in the RWB.

His strength lay in his ball playing and reading of the game.

In his early days Lockyer in the clear was pretty much shut the gate
I still to this day cannot believe he chased Myles down in that match in 99
Make mo mistake Lockyer was a flyer in his early days People seem to forget or may even be unaware He made is 1st grade debut in 1995Last edited by Andrew Walker; 09-25-2012, 09:36 AM.I respect all our moderators here. I'm not saying he wasn't quick, I just don't remember him as being a fullback who would burn people with speed. He had other, more important cards up his sleeve. Maybe I'm wrong.
But all of that is irrelevant - the point I'm making is that Sheck doesn't need to be a sprinter to be a good fullback. I reckon we can agree there.
