    • i don't think quade cooper will be signing a contract with the ARU after this.

once you're in robbie deans' bad books, it's over. look at andrew mehrtens and matt giteau.

Deans is also on thin ice. Lets wait for the next 2 games and see if he'll be there in 3 weeks.

QUADE Cooper will remain at the Queensland Reds for the next three years, after a heart-to-heart meeting with Reds chief executive Jim Carmichael.

Cooper and Carmichael had coffee in Brisbane yesterday afternoon and the star flyhalf confirmed he did not want to leave the Reds and was "100 per cent committed" to seeing out his contract.
"I go on the record as saying Quade Cooper has no interest in leaving the Reds," Carmichael said last night. "He loves playing for Queensland and his country and he has reaffirmed his commitment on several occasions.
"Call me old-fashioned but I take him at his word. "It is no secret that Quade is disillusioned at the moment.
"He's a highly competitive rugby union player who wants to help his province, and his country to be the best, and I can understand this. We are working closely with him to deal with his frustrations."

                Yay.

Reynolds kicked a ball and he scored under his nose. And if Hayne was good Eels should be in the top 8. This proves Hayne is s shit player. All fullbacks bar Zillman and Moltzen are better than Hayne. He is a has been and Mini is way better under the high ball. Mini was one of our best players until round 22. True story.

Sutton isnt among one of the best and his past seasons have been poor but he has had s great season this year should make the Kiwis squad ahead of Benji IMO. Strong runner and has been playing well for them. Still think he is a lock. Benji is talented but has no direction Pearce is better in fact most 5/8 in the top 8 are better bar Mcrone. Have you seen him play this year. He grabs the ball runs sideays to find a gap if he doesnt he just passes it backwards extremely unefficient. Instead he couldve gone to Woods or Galloway and made metres instead of trying to use some occasional magic. Occasionallyq he passes a good pass to set up a try thats about it.

                  Benji is verrrrrry overated.

                    • He is special that one. I love his passion and conviction but fark he is clueless. FYI I think Sam Burgess should be the first player picked for the Aussie Tri nations, James Graham is a shoe in to partner Sutton in the halves for the Kiwis and Thurstons combination with Roby and Tompkins will see the poms take home the trophy. Just my opinion. Wouldn't mind some feedback or thoughts

I agree with you Rooboy. reminds me of one of the greatest injustices of the game. I was always annoyed that Hugh MacGahan never made the NSW or Australian sides. He was certainly good enough

Muff, he was born in New Zealand. The Representative rules weren't written by Rafferty back then.

                            • Ok, so it's looking like Cooper is another in a long line of players using the Sydney Roosters as a bargaining chip. Obviously SBW is in on it...not much respect for us if it's true.
Cooper is currently on 750k with the ARU. He obviously wants more than that. He would have to take at least a 400-500k pay cut to come here. You wouldn't spend more than that on a player who may not even be good enough for first grade.

Quade will come on the same deal as SBW.$1 million from Japan Rugby,$600k deal with us and third party Panasonic paying $400k of this amount exempt from our cap...
