  • Tigers/Farah

Hello ladies and gents, I haven't posted on here for about 5 years or so, but have been reading for most of this season...

Anyhow, a bit of info came my way this weekend which is probably worth sharing (even though it's not really Rooster related).

Apparently, there's massive trouble at the Tigers, with Robbie Farah having fallen out big time with Tim Sheens. Doesn't ever want to play under him again apparently....

Benji is the other way, and doesn't want to play under anyone apart from Sheens, which has prompted Farah to come out with the old 'it's him or me' ultimatum. Not sure if he meant Marshall or Sheens, but either way, it's going to come to a head if Sheens is still there for the pre season.

What if the SB Williams deal fell through (here's hoping) and we suddenly had $800K to spend, Farah would be a very nice addition to the squad in my opinion. He'd certainly be a massive improvement on the tortoise we currently have playing in that position.

Source is from someone on the Tiger's staff, by the way. Apologies if it was covered in yesterdays paper - I don;t read it.

I heard that robbie slept with tim sheen's uncle's daughter's hairdresser's broom stick maker's nephew's love child, who is related to julia gillard.

Farah will be staying at the tigers, fark he's a quality player though. He makes Jake friend look like daniel feleuplai.

If farah leaves the tigers,,,he'll would join ricky stuart at the eels they've lacked a hooker in a while

Il give Jakey Friend the benerfit of the doubt because this yr doesnt count especially that in previous seasons his been our best and i think we should give our whole squad a chance with a new coaching staff and enviroment

Jake Friend is ordinary. He might have better seasons than this one, but he's never going to be a Robbie Farah. Or a Cameron Smith. Or even an Isaac Luke.

Hey loiner, thanks for the heads up.

I'd take Farah in a heartbeat. An 80 min rake of his calibre doesn't become available often. Even if it came to a choice between Farah and SBW I'd take Farah. We have enough backrowers, what we desperately need is creativity out of dummy half.

                    Chook.

I'd take Farrah over SBW too.

I've been a fan of Friend, especially regarding the way he turned himself around...he deserves credit for that if nothing else. But this season, he's become more and more apparent that he's not up to scratch. His service from dummy half has to be the slowest in the league.

If someone like Farah became available, we'd be stupid not to chase him with everything we had.

This is the second time I've heard the Sheens vs Farah issue. Interesting to see how this plays out, if at all.

Farah's a great player no doubt, but purchasing these types of players at this stage of their careers for the money they'll be asking is bad recruitment. He'll be 29 before next season starts, and would cost an absolute fortune.

                            No thanks.

Isaac Luke would be a far better investment (not that Souths will likely let him go). Funny how people were bagging Luke a couple weeks back when his name was tossed up as being on the outer at Souths.. Put the doubters to sleep on Saturday night.

Farah has had some injury issues in recent years.. It would be a calculated gamble to pay him the marquee dollars.. I think there is something in what Kingsgrove Loiner has posted.. The body language between Farah and Benji I have noticed is not a friendly one on the field. If one scores a try or kicks a field goal they rarely if ever even acknowledge each other.
