Damn ! I forgot to log in with my lemon_goat alias.

Nah mate I meant when he played for the magpies in Asquith. My brother in laws son was playing in the same team believe it or not and I remember seeing Mitch and his dad at the games. He was a farken freak even then at that age.

This blunder is the chookpen's fault for constantly referring to the Tigers as the Tigpies.

Ah that's easy, mainly because our attack this year has been what you would describe as a rabble and he rarely forces repeat sets when are chips are down in attack. Also his 5th tackle options have not been the best this year. Again, like I said in my previous post, whether this can be blamed on Anasta or the coach is another thing but he is not in the class of "great" players like Thurston, DCE and Foran, would you agree?

Even when he has played at origin level with a top coach like bellamy he has failed to impress.

Bit premature to be calling DCE & Foran as greats don't you think??

They've each played about half the games that Pearce has played and they're each twice as good as Pearce.

And before anyone comes on with the try assists stats comparisons or whatever look at how many players manly have in their team who are play makers, there's these two and also both stewart brothers and even at times ballin.

Kicking is a very small part of being a good organiser, it's the icing on the cake in most instances. The team being a rabble isn't Pearce's fault, the rest of the team should know their positions and roles. The only positions with a roaming license really are the two halves & the fullback although even then the fullback & 5/8 should usually be taking up set positions a lot of the time. Pearce can't be expected to coach the side, he calls the plays and gets the team into good positions on the back of momentum and generally I think he does a good job at it.

I'd disagree that Foran & DCE are great players, both are still very raw and have a lot to prove. Thurston's a totally different player to Pearce, they'd compliment each other nicely but Thurston has always struggled with the oragnisational role. Doesn't come as much of a surprise since he's shifted to 5/8 and relinquished some of the organisational roles the Cowboys looked their best shot at a Premiership since 2005.

Much appreciated Waylander. Thoroughly enjoyable interview. I like the faith that Robinson has in Taylor as attacking coach. Great move. We have a better chance of bringing these youngsters through because we have the proof that JT can bring the best out in them.
