Will improvement in results be deemed satisfactory for Robinson?

There is a vast gulf between "satisfactory" and "successful". As we are coming off a very low base, then an improvement on 13th would probably be satisfactory, but that would still very much depend on circumstances. It's not just about where you finish, but how you did it. If, say, we started poorly as the team adjusted to new structures and patterns, then finished strongly to finish 10th, that could be viewed as satisfactory. If we started strongly, and were in the top 4 with 8 rounds to go, then fell in a heap and finished 10th, then that would not be viewed favourably.

A top 8 finish has to be the minimal goal for any season. I'm sure Robbo himself would not be satisfied with anything less. I would consider a top 8 finish as a sucess next year, but would certainly expect to continue to improve over the next 2 yrs as well. We are in a good place to build to something special over the period of Robbo's contract. If we are not in the top 4 by his 3rd year he probably hasn't succeeded.

Depends. I want us to be competing for a top 8 spot at minimum, but it really does depend on how well our young guys stand up and how far they are along in their development.

Agree that making the finals is a "soft" goal.

I'd like to see us play less erratically. While improving overall I'd want the gap between our best and worst significantly narrowed. Consistent improvement is preferable to merely steepening the tracks on the rollercoaster...

We have an improved roster next year as well, so just 'improvement' would not be satisfactory.

Top 8 will be a pass mark.
Top 6 will be a good season.

However I would hope that TR is aiming for top 4.

Top 8 would be my minimum target. Anything further would be a bonus.. I don't expect miracles with our playing roster

Top 8 a minimum for sure, a massive change in our for and against which means better defence and better structure in our attack . Our discipline needs to improve monumentally cut down on the silly penalties which hurt us alot this year, fitness is another issue as our players ran out of puff and we got ran over in the ends of halves. If Robinson fixes these areas we will have a huge year imo.

Even in 2010 we struggled to get those until the end of the season.We haven't had a strong team getting results consistently since 04'. Can you imagine how the punters feel?

Sill think we are a bit off top 4or even top 6.
I just want to see an improvment in the basics, defence, discipline, ball security, fittness. If TR can get that out of the boys then ill consider it a succesful season.
