I have heard this too but the reality is, if we have a shitty year or he has a shitty year, he will opt out. No doubt the Bulldogs saga early in his career has something to do with his preference for a shorter deal as well. It still seems a little surreal, this Sonny Bill thing.

I suppose we also have to consider how far Murdoch's minions will go in denigrating him. Already they consistently refer to him as "the Sonny Bill Williams circus". They have a lot more to gain from appealing to the animosity of Bulldogs fans towards SBW and will therefore persecute him relentlessly in an attempt to drive him away.

of course we are, every club plans to win the next season, big difference with us is we are putting key people in place to actually do it, coach, trainer, defencive coach plus some outstanding players if one ever gets around to signing the bloody contract, at the least we now have a top notch 5/8 who kicks reliable goals and hopefully doesnt kick out on the full!
