I like Brian Smith. As a person. Not as a coach.

I hate Craig Bellamy as a person. I absofrigginglutely love him as a coach.

Maybe Opes is feeling better these days and wants another crack at the nrl. You never know, the one marker tactic might work this time.

Why doesn't anyone mention Dymock. He's experienced what goes on at Canterbury. Dont forget we are rebuilding and no one has rebuilt as well as Canterbury who we should model our success on. He has experience under Hasler and has experiened all the Sports Science that gives teams the edge which he can contribute to us, he did quite well in his intermin role at the Dogs got them from 12th to 9th. He also is assistant coach for NSW and is innovative. He fits the bill quite well. if not him Rick Stone who got an ordinafry Knights side to the finals. If not him JT. If not him daylight.

And if we dont get Bellamy we can stick with the intermin coach or stick with Smith assuming he stays and does well or get Neil Henry who I rate highly as a coach.

I don't like him that much for a taxi to be ordered....he can walk home

If it's about a sea change without a money issue & the opportunity to coach a raw lineup we could have a very SLIM chance but the temptation of all that gold in NZ will be tooo strong to resist.

JT is too smart to accept a year caretaker role, he would not accept anything less than a few years at the helm.

Bet youse all we dont get bellyache!
JT presented himself to our club in 2010 and offered his services to us for free.
I highly doubt he will be rejecting any form of promotion...

In sports, it's not about having the nice guys in your team. it's about having those that want to win. We've had enough of second places. In every GF were in, I am going with the mentality that we're going to lose thanks to all the guys that have coached us to lose the GF. The Dogs seem to win every GF they get in. I want us to have that record. tired of being second. Bring Bellamy and give him what he wants, even if he wants to take up boxing.

Whilst I agree 100% with bringing Bellamy to Easts, let's not start believing he is the Messiah.
Bellamy has failed to get State of Origin and Grand Final teams up for big games.
He is hardly an instant ticket to success.

However, that being said the board should move quickly to clean out the current deadwood of Smith, Elliott and Noyce.

Sorry but SOO is not coaching a whole season. 3 games a year with players from different clubs is not a good indication of a coach. I would like to see Meninga coaching a club side without the stars and see how good a coach he is.

Funny enough I saw Opes at a restaurant I was having lunch in Cronulla. He was sporting a nice full gut, and looks about as much of an NRL couch as Wok Ryan.

There was a story on A Current Affair last night (Monday) about a kids soccer coach who puts Gordon Ramsey to shame. He gets results but a lot of people think he's a bastard.

Craig Bellamy can come here, be a bastard of the first order and get results.

I'll buy him a dog to have someone to like him.

                          SMH reporting he'll stay on for another season;

                          Roosters

Fielding the youngest squad in the NRL, the Roosters were always likely to endure a tough year. But they have unearthed some great talent in Roger Tuivasa-Sheck and Tautau Moga, while the likes of Boyd Cordner, B.J. Leilua and Mose Masoe have shown glimpses of their potential. Brian Smith's detractors have the knives out for him but this column has been told he will get the chance to work with prized signings Sonny Bill Williams and James Maloney next season before a decision is made on his coaching future.

I said that only 4,000 posts ago.

If the board wanted to clean all the deadwood out ...they would also need to clean out the board !

Whether Taylor has other options or not, to bring him here on a one year deal would be a ridiculous call, and one only Politis could make. It's just such a typical Politis move. Go into the market and pay a fortune for someone who's supposedly near the top of the tree, and expect that they'll have the same results at this basket case of a joint (with Politis sticking his nose into everything) that they had elsewhere.

And what happens if Taylor goes great with us in the year that he's here?

                                Politis is a loon
