We end 2012 on a negative, I hope we don't play like that next season or we'll get thumped, regardless of SBW/Maloney or not.

On another note, I am now almost positive that the Bulldogs have broken the salary cap.

Which of the players that the dogs bought last yr were we even remotely interested in?

I hate the dogs as much as anyone but i dont think they are over the cap. Wright would be on nothing. Inu came from reserve grade. Reynolds was in reserve grade last year. Keating wouldnt be on big dollars. Finucane and Jackson are from their 20s. Stagg & Eastwood would be on average deals. They are just so better drilled then us. Great structure makes average players look great and good players look amazing

Probably none but my point is if this is legal there are a couple of players that we could be in the market for and with our corporate heavyweights on the board we might just have a chance of picking them up if of course this is a legal loophole in the cap laws.

We have bought our fair share of big name signings but most have turned out duds, or been poorly coached/disciplined here. we have resigned jwh and skd who both attracted interest from other clubs, and we have got sbw and maloney next year. i think those four guys would take up about 1.6 mill at least. throw pearce in there and thats half our cap.

Sounds like sour grapes to me

We have the current NSW halfback, 4 international reps

                We were just rubbish

All I can say is that we are a long way from the 2002-2004 dynasty which was created. We are currently a joke and no where near being the competition benchmarks which we once were. It has now been 10 years since that glorious season and if we are to create a new dynasty, we need to get rid of smith and instil discipline and structure.

We need a coach who can build a structure for us in defence or in attack, and we need a fresh outlook in our side. Smith and mini cannot remain at our club if we are to be the premiership benchmarks.

We need people who know what it takes to win.
                  Comment of the year:

Hasler is a brilliant coach. He's done an amazing job in 12 months with a good combination of stars, misfits and rejects. Todd Greenberg is highly professional and should take much of the credit for turning Canterbury's fortunes around. He should be running the NRL, not just one club. As Jack Gibson always said, if your front office is not in order, your back office will not function. Not every team who has success breaks the salary cap.

That was the same side Canterbury had last year plus a couple of who cares in Inu and Perret

What a difference a Des makes

Next year they will be unbeatable

                          Time to vent.

Chairman - Nick Politis - A roaring dinosaur.
C.E.O. - Steve Noyce - Anything I say about him may get us sued. He got asked to leave by the Wests Tigers, that should be explanation enough.
Coach - Brian Smith - Has. Won. Nothing. Ever.
Fullback - Anthony Minichello - Like Muhammed Ali if he married Don King, who sells really expensive and badly made shoes. He will go on until he dies. I don't hate him, I can't but I think he should have been a homosexual.
Centre - Shaun Kenny-Dowall - Mercurial is not the word.
Halfback - Mitchell Pearce - I'd rather have Justin Holbrook or Paul Green.
Jake Friend - George Gregan without the melanin. A lock that's too damned small and a hooker who's mentally slower than me.
                          Lock - Frank-Paul Nu'uausala - looks like a cannibal, plays like a vegetarian.

                          I think that's about it.
