  • Mini's send-off

I was there... should Mini have been sent off, and should it have even been a penalty?

From right in front of them (and Canberra stadium's small... they were max 25m away from me!!!) my opinion is that there was no malice. Mini got SMASHED by dugan and fell to his feet but was sorta held up by falling into a player and having Dugan bulldozing everybody.

Due to nothing other than him getting SMASHED and landing awkwardly, a stray, uncontrolled foot hit Dugan in the melon.

Why was Mini sent off and why was this a penalty that cost us the game at the end of the day?

Because Shortall wanted us to lose.

Mini's arm made clear contact with the head. Mini tries to make a tackle up high while Dugan is running away from him, he mistimes wrapping his arms around Dugan or something who gets a forearm to the head for his troubles. No malice.

Definate penalty as mini got him in the head with his forearm. but to me, not a send off as there was no intent. looked like we were more dangerous without him though!

Four weeks ago Mose got penalized for holding a player who was punching him in the mouth.

Penalty sufficient, but wasn't a send off.

If Brian Norrie didn't get sent for his elbow on Thaiday last night then neither should Mini. Penalty would have been the correct call.

Allan Short mans syndrome got it wrong.............AGAIN!!!!!!

I don't really have an issue with the send off. I was more bewildered that Mini used that spider monkey tackling technique the second time around after being lucky enough to avoid Dugan's head with the first attempt. Didn't look like there was any malice in it but I have no problems with a player being sent off for showing no regard for the safety of another players head.

Shouldn't have been sent off but still what terrible attempts at a tackle.

If Matt Prior got sent off for what he did, then Minichiello's should be no different.

Penalty and send off is correct. His elbow made contact with Dugan's head ffs. Doesn't matter if it's "not his go", fact is that is a send off offense any day of the week

Worthy of a send off. The suspension won't be long by any means, but it was still worthy of a send off.

Mini went over the top of Dugan's head then kicked him as he was going down, which scratched Dugan's forehead. That's what made everyone think his elbow connected.

Hey Mini, ever heard of tackling around the legs you idiot?
The send off was deserved but not for hitting dugan with his forearm. It was deserved for abject stupidity.
Mini, leave, you're well past it and I hope you see that now.

I just wish it wasn't Dugans head he hit ...... it should have been Shortall's.
If that had been the case Mini would be a hero today.
