    Early 70's, from memory.
Was a Sat avo game on ABC and the announcer commented something along the lines of "sidesteps Langlands & strolls over for another try.....looks as though Langlands is injured...no, hold on...cramp. Boy he's having a shocker today..."
Funny the things this old mind remembers. That's one that sticks....that & the shocker he had against us in the 75 Grand Final in his white boots.
He was good at his best but played a couple of seasons too long.....sound familiar?

          Not me mate.

The only colour in my wardrobe is my chooks gear. All my shirts are black or white. My leathers are black and my gixxer is black on black.B-)

Well (I think you probably already know this chook56) the only reason he had the shocker in '75 was because of a pain killer injection that went wrong, apparently his whole foot was just about numb because of it, sure played like that, at the time we all thought that it was the white boots that made him kick like an U6's girl, sure made for a great day to be a Rooster!

If I was Cherro & thought that I could still make FG I would give Bellamy Bennett or Hasler a call & tell them you would play for a minumum wage with incentives built in the contract.

I think there are to many in front of him at the Roostrs now after 3 years away from the game.

Cherrington doesn't deserve a new contract with the Roosters. He's been a charity case for far too long as it is.

If Newtown wants to tak a risk on him, that's fine. But he can be a Newtown registered player and be counted under their salary cap, not ours.

Otherwise, he can go wherever he pleases, if someone will take him.

                          50 1st grade games.

                          Just 50.

Then I don't owe Horrie Is God another case, in fact he owes me then.

                          The FlogPen .

                          You know it makes sense.

NC would you have the same view if he was your son? Shows potential, busts a knee. 12 month recovery and bust the other. 12 month recovery, play and does an ankle.

NRL clubs should have a long term injury list, where the salary is removed from te cap, and another player from outside the squad can come in.

Those 31 he needs would seem like 31 000 ATM..

Dubai, fact is the Roosters have been carrying him for a few years now, with very little in return.

Mind you, I admit I am biased, I have little time for perpetuators of domestic violence, which is what Cherrington is. And I'm not really interested in what anyone says in his defence. There is no excuse for what he did.

I've wanted him out of our club since 2009. Mind you, me wanting him gone means he'sll probably means he will get a contract extension, again. Such is life.
