Havnt seen much of Newtown but caught a glimpse of the jets bears game and the above 3 were standouts. A lot of talk about Evans and Napa but are these 3 guys at the same level? Would love to see them get a chance next yr.

killah is a part of the future of the club. a good coach would see that and that same coach would be extending seliuni contract. showed some great adlib play with finess. has some real pace from a standing start.
the three names mentioned are the goods. love to keep them all.

It's sad in some ways that some genuine first graders never get a crack at it. And then there are others who play FG & you wonder how they ever made it.

As someone who watches a lot of NSW cup - don't underestimate the gap in standard from NSW Cup to first grade. NSW cup is a long way below even Qld cup.

Fringe 1st graders like Houma, Kherillah & Tupou are exactly the type of players that clubs like the Storm snap up. They get them cheap as chips because they are looking for that golden opportunity or another opportunity to play NRL, as well as the prospect of playing with the holy trinity (who mind you absorb a large amount of their salary cap).....over the years Turner, Blair, Lima, Sika Manu, Hinchcliffe, Quinn, Lowrie, Norrie, Lowe, Kostjasyn.

Add Mortimer to that list.If he was ever going to crack into the team this was the year to do it, as the door was a little open when Anasta was injured/Pearce was in origin. Now with maloney certain to start, and Pearce doubtful for ever playing origin again, Mortimer will rot away in Newtown, if he doesn't go to melbourne.
                  Comment of the year:

Andrew Johns, Semi-Final vs North Queensland ,

"It's touched Lui's hand and travelled forward but that's not a knock on"

Houma and tupou imo are going to end up professional reserve graders and fg fill-ins at best. we also have better players at the club in their respective positions so at least their futures in fg wont lie in firsts. ailomai has potential so im not sure about him yet - could still develop into something. killer had a chance last year and (pretty sure against canberra in canberra around this time of year) and was horrible. while I dont think its fair that he doesnt get another shot considering his consistent form, he didnt exactly do his chances any favours. I do think he is worth hanging on to.....

Cause Grant Rovelli proved to be a world beater for Warriors and Cowboys??? Killah plays very well for newtown but there's a big difference between 1st grade and newtown... he has the ability to play really well at fullback for newtown but his run in first at the position was absolute rubbish...

I'm all for giving guys shots but a lot of times people are just talking up players who aren't actually that great... mortimer is a great example of this this year, he has played well when he's got a chance games but that was only really as a support player... he is not the savior of the team...

Won't surprise me to see Mortimer head to the UK.

he leaads the jets around when he plays 5/8 and second in charge when he ia at the back. when he played fg he had to do as he was told by braith.

You can't judge him on one game in the top grade. No doubt there is a big gap between the two, but look at the likes of Reynolds and Cherry-Evans, both debuted around the age of 22 which is where Killer is at. Our season has been over for a number of weeks, despite the maths, I would have liked to see someone like Killer or even Mortimor get a full game in the halves with Anasta out. Seriously, why is Anasta playing. Even if he was playing well, our season is over and he is on his way out. Develop some of our younger guys and see how they go.

How do you know they are genuine first graders if they have never played first grade?
