  • Dean Pay

The RLW Mole is saying on twitter Ricky Stuart is close to making his first appointment to the Parramatta coaching staff, Dean Pay, currently the Storm NYC coach. Would love to have him as defensive coach again.

[Felt this was relevant to this forum as I know plenty on here had hoped we could bring him back].

Smith wouldn't want someone with their own opinions on his staff, his son and yes men like Elliot are his comfort zone.

Ricky trying to assemble his premiership winning staff from 2002 ?
Well he can't have Cartwright, but Dean Pay, heard he was also trying to get Ronnie Palmer back.

I have been spruiking Dean Pay as Smiths replacement, the guy can coach, despite Melbs u/20s form.

No.1 thing you would get is discipline, no softly softly approach that half our current Primadonas are afforded.

There is a differance between midnight calls and texts( Smith and co.) and pulling splinters out of your arse on the bench( Pay)

A JT and Pay team would be No.1 on my list

I would live with that gladly. Bellamy is nothing without his chequebook.

Rubbish. No doubt Bellamy has benefited significantly from the likes of Smith, Slater, Cronk and Inglis, but there is no denying the Storm have been one of the fittest and best drilled teams in the comp for years.

I'm a massive dean pay fan as well. Think he would be awesome for this club. A bloke who real only ever played in teams with a winning culture and also coached in teams with the same culture. That's the sort of coach we need not one who has proven that after a season of good results, the teams he coaches go to shit ie Dragoons, Eels and Knights.
He would certainly bring a new outlook to the club and fix our shithouse defence which has been terrible since the early 2000's
