  • Carney signs with Castleford

    http://www.zerotackle.com/super-leag...in-carney-129/

Castleford Tigers can confirm the signing of Sydney Roosters winger Justin Carney for next season on a two-year deal.

The powerful 24-year-old former Canberra Raider is the club’s sixth new signing; following Michael Shenton, Jake Webster, Jamie Ellis, Jordan Tansey and Lee Gilmour in already having committed to Cas for 2013.

On the signing of Carney, head coach Ian Millward said:

“I’m hugely delighted with the capture of Justin. He’ll perform a number of roles for us on the field as he is multi skilled.

“He will become a crowd pleaser with his robust running and dynamic style. No one will run the ball harder or faster than Justin in Super League in 2013.”

Carney, Tansey - must say I won't be putting any money on Castleford in the near future.
"Do you expect me to talk"? "No, Mr. Bond, I expect you to die".

Carney's gonna be one of the hardest and fastest ball runners in 2013? Wow the quality of the Super League can't be that low!

Worse than... Sandy Campbell? Nicky K? Sonny Tuigimala? How quickly we forget the early-mid eighties and early nineties too.

Justin Carney was one of the worst wingers/centers that i have ever seen under the high ball.He had a few good games but jeez there are a lot of errors in his game.

I remember Sonny Tuigimala playing, I didn't have Foxtel then so I listened to the games on the radio, and I must have heard 'Sonny Tuigimala drops the ball' about 300 times

he can keep tansey up to speed on all the goss at his old club, i think carnery will blitz them over there, the heavier grounds slow the game down to his speed!

I didn't think Carney was too bad for us in the few games he got.

He played for the Roosters. Put his body on the line every time he played. Why bag the bloke?

Good luck to him. Should do ok over there.
