I look at the ladder knowing the chooks are well and truly done this year. Even so, there is still hope deep down in my guts that we can pull off a miracle to make into the 8..

We still have a mathematical possibility depending on other results, the alignment of the planets, the lunar cycle and the effect the carbon tax will have on climate change.

Maybe i'm delusional, i just hate the thought of my team not being up there. Oh well , even us crazies can have dreams.

I reckon the cut off will be 28, even if we win all remaining games, which this bipolar team wont, wel be on 27...tigers, knights, dragons, titans will be fighting for that 8th spot.

Interestingly enough, with the exception of the Tigers, those teams need to win 3/4 to make 28.

That win for the Tigers on Monday was huge for their chances.

It's a not a massive long shot for the cutoff to be 26 this year.

Tigers 24 points + 2 points (losses to bulldogs/roosters/storm) = 26
Titans 22 points + 4 points (losses to storm/manly) = 26
Raiders 22 points + 4 points (losses to roosters/bulldogs) = 26 points
Saints 22 points + 4 points (losses to Tigers/cowboys) = 26 points
Knights 22 points (losses to sharks/manly/cowboys/souths) = 22 points
Warriors 20 points + 2 points (losses to cowboys/saints/raiders) = 22 points
