Julz is playing a blinder on this one.

adzta and Rooboy - no one is bigger than the club. In Carney's head, no one is bigger than Carney.

Ergo, ditching him was right (and after 8 years of bad decision making, that was one good one).

      Hi friends,

Mr Todd Carney will never play for another NRL club. He will be lifelong at Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks.

Never said or implied he was bigger then the club. Merely stated that what he did last year never warranted getting the flick. All I have said is the club took the soft option due to media pressure. BJ bashed his missus, still playing. FPN broke the no booze rule, still playing, Myles shat in a hotel foyer still played. It was friend who had the prescription pill, kept playing, still playing and I garauntee the three blokes getting happy snapped walking out of the pub that night where not the only ones having a drink during the booze ban.
I'll say this once more. If you take on a head case be prepared for speed bumps along the way. He did nothing wrong in 2010 when things fell into place. Gets injured and starts to fall off the straight and narrow and the club succumbs to peer pressure from the media much like Todd and the people he hung around with.

Please Football Gods, make that happen.

So you're comfortable with a guy who breaks the law, lies to the coach and goes back on a promise to his team mates?

Exactly. On one hand he says that no one is bigger than the club, the next he says the opposite.

                Which one is it?

When did I say he was bigger then the club champ???
Read all my posts fellas all I said was the club took the soft option by punting him for minor offences. I wonder how many of you where pulling yourselves off in 2010 when he was doing great things for this club?

Can't believe this one is still going.

Sharks have turned the porch light back on. They are daring to dream. There's no way they're gonna let him go. And no way we would have him back.

He got convinctions for getting drunk. If Bird and Watts can get in ven though they've been charged with assault Carney can. Im sure Carney will stay a Shark as long as he doesnt get in trouble. He wanted to stay a Rooster but his behaviour got him sacked.

The story is laughable. We have offered a contract to someone who is not off contract. Do you realise that would be illegal to start off with. Not sure how he could even accept that contract anyhow. Iam sure the sharks really want to punt him after scoring 25 points on the weekend.

So does that mean Maloney is not coming
to us next year due to illegalities?
