"should never have let him go" , "never did anything illegal" "proved he could be responsible in 2010"
Talk about igornat BS. He a self centered little shit that gets protected. His fall from grace is only being protected by Rothfield and he can only do that for so long.
Carney will not have a long and prosperous career, he doesn't deserve it. He will never win premiership.
Good riddance to bad rubbish

Geez your family and friends must be the most normal, perfect people on the planet? No, didn't think so. You would be just another one of those people that talks behind their backs rather than confonts and helps them through the issues.

He is not comparable to 50% of young Australians at all, and this is despite the fact he's on megabucks.

Look, adzta - I was a ratbag when I was younger for sure, but I didn't have literally thousands of people paying a couple of Grand p/a for Foxtel subscriptions and season passes and merch and shite, while a great institution like Easts were paying out massive salaries to me.
Get a grip, Homes.Making Steve Naughton look like Vince Mellars...

So can someone please tell me during the 2010 season what the bloke did wrong?
I'm not saying he is an angel, far from it.
But he proved he can control himself. A few minor hiccups, in my opinion and we punted him. Irresponsible of the club to give up on him is how I see it.
If you don't agree with me that's fine, I don't know him personally and nor do people on here, but it seems like he was making an effort to change his life around. The rumours that are flying around now are just RUMOURS

A bit of hot goss........this comes from a very reliable source.
The powers that be in The Shire are getting fed up with playing minder, and putting out the media fires, to our former no.6.
He has been off the rails & has been very lucky not be locked up, apparently.
There are quite a few that want to cut him loose before all hell breaks loose.......still a few that want to ride it out.
Apparently Uncle Nick has offered a lifeline to him (my source says 12mths contract with an option for another 12mths the clubs way), because he regards him as the unfinished project. Apparently he has swayed a few on the board to his way of thinking.
Do we want him back?
I say no.
Thoughts?
fantasy bullshit

This game is about giving a people chances. If our club was a Newcastle or Brisbane we would be better at covering up for our players. Hell, they even let them commentate.
I have a grip, maybe you should step out into the real world.

If he came here and gave us his best, like 2010, then I don't care if he gets drunk, sets people's balls on fire and pisses on fire hydrants.
