IMO Canberra will be the next Storm in 3-4 years. Why? Storm started building in 03 when they got rid of Chris Anderson and got Bellyache and picked talented youngsters outta Qld Cup such as Smith, Slater, Cronk etc and got guys from NSW district sides such as Hoffman etc and got unwanted players from other clubs such as Quinn and Newton at the Knights and Hinchcliffe from Raiders. Tehy soon formed a powerhouse.

Canberra on the other hand dont have ot do what Storm did as they are already based in a RL area and have juniors at their disposal. They already have promising young guns like Cornish, Milford, McIllwrick, Wighton, Robinson and have got guys from Qld such as Papalii, Lee, Mataora but did buy guys like Earl and Ferguson. Canberra have the most talented crop of youngsters. The only thing holding them back is their coach Furner and the fact they have no good hooker until McIllwrick develops. I tihnk they have taken a big step as they now have great halves os it doesnt really affect them if Campese is injured.

Finding & developing talent has never been their issue, retaining them and keeping them out of trouble always has been. Canberra is just a boring place, Melbourne at least has some things going for it.

I know that they have always had promising players but the main problem is they arent managed properly and turn out duds e.g Drury Low top try scorer and winger of the year fr 2008 NYC season. Where is he now? Daniel Vidot good season 2010. 11' he was shithouse. 12 reserve grade at St Merge. Monaghan plugged in a dog, Harrison since 2010(he was a rep playa then) has gon downhill. Buttriss who was the best hooker during his junior days wouldnt crack hooker even at Crapamatta.

But yes they have lost Schofcoske 2 union, Hinchcliffe 2 Storm, Weyman to St Merge in the past.

I will go on the record now & say this guy will play at least 10 FG games for the Roosters next season.

On the flip side I dont think Arona will play FG next season. I actually thought he did OK this season probably because I had NO expectations on him compared to Tasi who I did have some expectation on but IMO was used wrongly this year so he never got on the field long enough to do anything which made him look not that good.

Im not anti Islander but I feel the Roosters have to many of them at the club but in saying that they may all rise to the occasion with SBW in the side & become world beaters which would make my comments look pretty silly. Probably shouldn't have written those last 6 words.
